My dear friends, you have always obeyed God. You obeyed while I was with you. And you have obeyed even more while I am not with you. So continue to work out your own salvation. Do it with fear and trembling.

Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge;and in knowledge, self- control; and in self- control perseverance; and in perseverance godliness;and in godliness brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to not be idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.For he who lacks these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.

One said to him,“ Lord, are they few who are saved?” He said to them,“ Strive to enter in by the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter in and will not be able.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.”They said therefore to him,“ What must we do, that we may work the works of God?”Jesus answered them,“ This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

Do this, knowing the time, that it is already time for you to awaken out of sleep, for salvation is now nearer to us than when we first believed.The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let’s therefore throw off the deeds of darkness, and let’s put on the armor of light.Let’s walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy.But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.

Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ,

The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied.

to those who by perseverance in well- doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life;

My flesh trembles for fear of you. I am afraid of your judgments.

His affection is more abundantly toward you, while he remembers all of your obedience, how with fear and trembling you received him.

You yourselves also know, you Philippians, that in the beginning of the Good News, when I departed from Macedonia, no assembly shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you only.

But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered up when I know how you are doing.
