我為你們眾人存着這個意念、原是正當的，因為我把你們放在心上，不但在受捆鎖之中、而且在辯護和證實福音的時候、你們眾人在恩惠上都和我一同有分。

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me.

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you. I love you with all my heart. I may be held by chains, or I may be standing up for the truth of the good news. Either way, all of you share in God’s grace together with me.

It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God, both in my imprisonment and in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News.

Indeed, it is right for me to think this way about all of you, because I have you in my heart, and you are all partners with me in grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

我不是為定你們的罪而說的。我已經說過，你們在我們心頭、直可同死同活。

我感謝上帝，因為從頭一天到如今、你們在福音之推廣上就有了分。

因這緣故、我保羅為你們外國人做基督耶穌囚犯的、替你們祈禱——

我保羅親手寫的問安：『你們要惦念着我的受捆鎖。願恩惠與你們同在！』

只知道聖靈在各城裏都向我鄭重地指證、說有鎖鍊和苦難等着我。

（為了這個、我做帶鎖鍊的大使），使我在這上頭放膽無懼、照所應該講的來講。

後一種人是出於愛心，知道我是為了辯護福音而受派的。前一種人之傳揚基督呢、卻是出於營私爭勝的心，不清清潔潔地傳，只想要在我的鎖鍊中另外引起困苦罷了。

雖然如此，你們對我的困難表示同受的精神、那是很好的。

在這傳福音的事上、我喫盡了苦惱、甚至於受捆鎖、像犯人一樣；然而上帝之道是不受捆鎖的。

所以我這同做長老的、做基督受苦之見證人的、又是在將要顯示的榮耀中有分的、勸你們中間同做長老的。

你們、就是我們的書信，寫在我們心上，給眾人所知道所誦讀的。

然而親愛的，關於你們的事、我們雖這樣說，卻還深信你們有較好的表現、能引致你們之得救。因為上帝並不是不公義、以致於忘了你們的工作、和你們向他的名所證顯的愛心，就是你們從前用來服事聖徒、如今還在用來服事聖徒的、那種愛心。

所以聖別的弟兄們，與分於天上之召喚的啊，你們要留心思想我們所信認的「使徒」、大祭司耶穌。

我以為儘我還在這帳幕的時候，以提醒來激發你們、是正當的。

所以你不要以給我們的主作見證為恥，也不要以我這為他做囚犯的為恥；總要按照上帝的能力、為着福音一同喫苦。

凡事忍受，凡事相信，凡事盼望，凡事堅忍。

因為在基督耶穌裏、受割禮沒有效力，不受割禮也沒有效力，惟獨以愛力行的信才有效力。

我們時常為你們眾人感謝上帝，在我們的禱告中不住地提到你們；在我們的父上帝面前、惦念你們因信心而作的工，因愛心而受的勞苦，因盼望我們主耶穌基督而持守的堅忍。蒙上帝所愛的弟兄啊，我們知道你們是蒙揀選的；因為我們的福音傳到你們那裏、不僅僅在乎話語，乃在乎能力，在乎聖靈與堅定的確信；正如你們所知道的、我們為你們的緣故、在你們中間是成了甚麼樣的人。

你們都是光明之兒女，白晝之兒女。我們不是屬夜的，也不是屬黑暗的。

我為福音的緣故、行了各樣的事，為要在這事上一同有分。

相反的，你們既在基督的受苦上有多少分兒，就該有多少喜樂，使你們在他榮耀顯示的時候也可以歡喜快樂。

於是千夫長走近前去，拉住他，發命令用兩條鐵鍊捆綁着；查問是甚麼人，作了甚麼事。

同時也要為我們禱告，使上帝給我們開了話語之門可講基督的奧祕（我是為了這個被捆綁的），

鞭打了許多棍，便將他們下在監裏，囑咐看監獄的妥妥當當地看守着。看監獄的領了這樣的囑咐，便將他們下在內監，把他們的兩腳妥妥當當地上了木狗。大約在半夜裏，保羅和西拉直禱告唱詩頌讚上帝，囚犯們直注意聽着。

所以我為主的緣故做囚犯的勸你們、行事為人要對得起你們所蒙的呼召。

有的人被嗤笑為戲劇而受辱罵遭苦難，有的人則跟着這樣作人的作為契友。你們同情於被捆鎖的人，又以喜樂的心接受你們資財之被勒索，知道自己有較好而長存的家業。
