It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me.

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you. I love you with all my heart. I may be held by chains, or I may be standing up for the truth of the good news. Either way, all of you share in God’s grace together with me.

It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God, both in my imprisonment and in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News.

只知道在各城里圣灵都向我指明，说有捆锁和患难在等着我。

（我为这奥秘作了被捆锁的使者），也使我按着应当说的，放胆宣讲这福音的奥秘。

这些人是出于爱心，知道我是派来为福音辩护的。那些人传讲基督却是出于自私，动机并不纯正，只想加重我在捆锁中的烦恼。

然而，你们一同分担了我的患难，实在是好的。

我为了这福音受了磨难，甚至像犯人一样被捆绑起来；可是，神的话却不被捆绑。

我这同作长老，也是为基督受苦作见证，又是同享将来所要显现的荣耀的，劝你们当中作长老的：

你们就是我们的荐信，写在我们的心里，是众人所认识所诵读的，

不过，亲爱的弟兄们，我们虽然这样说，但对于你们，我们却深信你们有更好的表现，结局就是得救。因为神并不是不公义，以致忘记了你们的工作，和你们为他的名所表现的爱心，就是你们以前服事圣徒，现在还是服事他们。

因此，同蒙天召的圣洁的弟兄啊！你们应该想想耶稣，就是作使徒、作我们所宣认的大祭司的那一位。

趁着我还在世上（“在世上”原文作“在这帐棚”）的时候，我认为应当提醒你们，使你们常常警醒，

所以，不要以给我们的主作见证当作羞耻，也不要以我这为主被囚的当作羞耻，却要为了福音的缘故，靠着神的大能，与我同受磨难。

爱是凡事包容，凡事相信，凡事盼望，凡事忍耐。

因为在基督耶稣里，受割礼或不受割礼，都没有用处，唯有那藉着爱表达出来的信，才有用处。

我们常常为你们众人感谢神，祷告的时候提到你们，在我们的父神面前，不住地记念你们信心的工作，爱心的劳苦和因盼望我们主耶稣基督而有的坚忍。神所爱的弟兄们，我们知道你们是蒙拣选的，因为我们的福音传到你们那里，不单是藉着言语，也是藉着权能，藉着圣灵和充足的信心。为了你们的缘故，我们在你们中间为人怎样，这是你们知道的。

你们都是光明之子、白昼之子；我们不是属于黑夜的，也不是属于黑暗的。

我所作的一切，都是为了福音的缘故，好让我与别人同享福音的好处。

倒要欢喜，因为你们既然在基督的受苦上有分，就在他荣耀显现的时候，可以欢喜快乐。

于是千夫长上前捉住保罗，吩咐人用两条铁链捆住他，问他是什么人，作过什么事。

也要为我们祷告，求神为我们开传道的门，宣讲基督的奥秘（我就是为了这个缘故被捆锁），

打了很多棍，就把他们放在监牢里，吩咐狱吏严密看守。狱吏领了命令，就把他们押入内监，两脚拴了木狗。约在半夜，保罗和西拉祈祷歌颂神，囚犯们都侧耳听着。

因此，我这为主被囚禁的劝你们：行事为人，要配得上你们所蒙的呼召，

有时在众人面前被辱骂，遭患难；有时却成了遭遇同样情形的人的同伴。你们同情那些遭监禁的人；你们的家业被抢夺的时候，又以喜乐的心接受，因为知道自己有更美长存的家业。
