且使宗主之兄弟、多因我縲絏、益毅然宣上帝道而無懼、

宗主諸兄弟、因我縲絏、益毅然傳道無懼、

信主之兄弟多人、因我之縲絏增加其信、益毅然傳道而無懼、

而多數宗主之兄弟、因予之被囚、舉相率鼓其勇氣、再接再厲、以大無畏之精神、弘宣天主之道。

And because I am a prisoner, most of the believers have become bolder in the Lord. They now dare even more to preach the good news without fear.

And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear.

Most of the brothers have gained confidence in the Lord from my imprisonment and dare even more to speak the word fearlessly.

and that most of the brothers and sisters, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear.

and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

and that most of the brethren in the Lord, being confident through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word of God without fear.

Most of the brothers in the Lord have gained confidence from my imprisonment and dare even more to speak the message fearlessly.

And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

and most of the brothers and sisters, having confidence in the Lord because of my imprisonment, now more than ever dare to speak the word fearlessly.

and that most of the brothers in the Lord, being confident through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word of God without fear.

Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

We had previously suffered and been treated outrageously in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in the face of strong opposition.

Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.

On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God.“ Sovereign Lord,” they said,“ you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David:“‘ Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed one.’Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen.Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve him without fear

I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me.
