看哪！我必使你在列国中成为弱小的，你必大受藐视。

耶和華對以東說：「我要讓你成為列國中最弱小的國家，使你飽受藐視。

看哪！我必使你在列國中成為弱小的，你必大受藐視。

『看吧，我必使你在列國中成為小的；你必極度被藐視。

耶和華曰、我使爾在列邦中為微小、甚被藐視、

維爾以東、我使之卑微、在列邦中為人所藐視、

主謂以東曰、我使爾在列邦中為至微、令爾極被藐視、

“ See, I will make you small among the nations; you will be utterly despised.

The Lord says to Edom,“ I will make you weak among the nations. They will look down on you.

Behold, I will make you small among the nations; you shall be utterly despised.

Look, I will make you insignificant among the nations; you will be deeply despised.

“ Behold, I will make you small among the nations; You are greatly despised.

Behold, I have made thee small among the nations: thou art greatly despised.

Look, I will make you insignificant among the nations; you will be deeply despised.

Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.

The LORD says,“ Look! I will make you a weak nation; you will be greatly despised!

Behold, I have made you small among the nations. You are greatly despised.

以東將成為產業，西珥將成為它敵人的產業；但以色列卻要得勝。

這是萬軍之耶和華所定的，為要貶抑一切榮耀的狂傲，使地上一切尊貴的人被藐視。

那時我的仇敵看見這事就羞愧，他曾對我說：「耶和華－你的神在哪裏？」我必親眼見他遭報，現在，他必被踐踏，如同街上的泥土。

耶和華使人貧窮，也使人富足；使人降卑，也使人升高。他從灰塵裏抬舉貧寒人，從糞堆中提拔貧窮人，使他們與貴族同坐，繼承榮耀的座位。地的柱子屬耶和華，他將世界立在其上。

成為列國中最低微的，不再自高於列邦之上。我必使他們變為小國，不再轄制列邦。

但他們因欺壓、患難、愁苦，人口減少而且卑微。他使貴族蒙羞受辱，使他們迷失在荒涼無路之地；

他用膀臂施展大能；他趕散心裏妄想的狂傲人。他叫有權柄的失位，叫卑賤的升高。

所以他知道他們的行為，使他們在夜間傾倒壓碎。他在眾目睽睽下擊打他們，如同擊打惡人。因為他們轉離不跟從他，不留心他一切的道，甚至使貧寒人的哀聲達到他那裏；他也聽了困苦人的哀聲。他安靜，誰能定罪呢？他轉臉，誰能見他呢？無論一國或一人都是如此。
