But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean on account of a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day

But some of them couldn’t celebrate the Passover Feast on that day. That’s because they weren’t“ clean.” They had gone near a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day.

And there were certain men who were unclean through touching a dead body, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day, and they came before Moses and Aaron on that day.

俱至會幕門、立於摩西與祭司以利亞撒、及會長會眾之前曰、

摩西曰、民就我諮詢於上帝耳、

在野見殺於刃者、或自斃之尸、或人骨、或荒塚、捫之者必蒙不潔、歷至七日、

凡捫人尸、必蒙不潔、歷至七日、

命以色列族云、凡患癩疾、白濁、及捫尸蒙污之人、

我進一策、其聽我言、願上帝偕爾、汝向上帝、為民代表、而呈其事於上帝、

必潔者一人、浸牛膝草於水中、灑幕與其諸器、及在幕中之眾、與捫見殺者自斃者之尸、捫骨捫塚者、

平旦、眾曳耶穌、自該亞法至公廨、眾弗入、以免受污、不得食逾越節筵也、

隨時鞫民、難事則以呈、細故則自鞫、

自為區別、歸於耶和華時、毋近尸側、既已留髮、顯其歸於上帝、雖其父母兄弟姊妹死、毋為之蒙不潔、

勿近尸、即父母之尸、亦勿緣之自污、

摩西以其事呈於耶和華、

攜之至摩西亞倫及會眾前、
