If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse.

Suppose she has made herself“ unclean.” She has not been faithful to her husband. And she has drunk the water that brings a curse. Then it will go into her body. It will cause her to suffer bitterly. It will make her body unable to have children. She will become a curse.

And when he has made her drink the water, then, if she has defiled herself and has broken faith with her husband, the water that brings the curse shall enter into her and cause bitter pain, and her womb shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away, and the woman shall become a curse among her people.

我必用刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫追赶他们，使他们成为地上万国所惊惧的，在我赶逐他们到的各国中，成为令人惊骇、被人咒骂、嗤笑、羞辱的对象。

那些决意去埃及地，在那里寄居的犹大余剩的人，我必把他们除去；他们必在埃及地灭绝；他们必倒在刀下，必因饥荒灭亡；他们从最小的到最大的都必因刀剑和饥荒而死，以致成了令人惊骇、被人咒骂、咒诅和羞辱的对象。

所有被掳到巴比伦的犹大人，都要因他们的遭遇这样咒诅人，说：“愿耶和华使你像巴比伦王用火烧死的西底家和亚哈一样。”

你们必留下自己的名，作我选民的咒语；主耶和华必杀死你们，必用另外的名去称呼他自己的仆人。

在耶和华要领你去的各民族中，你必成为使人惊骇、使人嘲笑和讽刺的对象。

我必使他们成为地上万国所惊恐、所讨厌的；在我赶逐他们到的各地方，成为被人羞辱、讥笑、嘲弄、咒诅的对象。

我发现一个比死亡更恶毒的妇人，她有如罗网，心如陷阱，手如锁链。蒙神喜悦的人得以摆脱她，罪人却被她缠住。

求你待他们好像待米甸人，像在基顺河待西西拉和耶宾一样；他们都在隐．多珥被消灭，成了地上的粪土。求你使他们的贵族像俄立和西伊伯，使他们的王子像西巴和撒慕拿。

但是，如果你作妻子时背弃了丈夫，被人玷污了；如果你在你的丈夫以外，曾与别的男人同寝’，

如果我们领受了真理的知识以后，还是故意犯罪，就再没有留下赎罪的祭品了；只好恐惧地等待着审判，和那快要吞灭众仇敌的烈火。如果有人干犯了摩西的律法，凭着两三个证人，他尚且得不到怜悯而死；何况是践踏神的儿子，把那使他成圣的立约的血当作俗物，又侮辱施恩的圣灵的人，你们想想，他不是应该受更严厉的刑罚吗？因为我们知道谁说过：“伸冤在我，我必报应。”又说：“主必定审判他自己的子民。”

那么，你们在现今以为羞耻的事上，当时得了什么呢？那些事的结局就是死。

对于灭亡的人，这是死亡的气味叫人死；对于得救的人，这却是生命的香气使人活。这些事谁够资格作呢？

尤其是那些随从肉体，生活在污秽的私欲中，和轻蔑当权的，更是这样。他们胆大任性，毫无畏惧地毁谤在尊位的。

至终却苦似苦菫，快如两刃的剑。她的脚走下死地，她的脚步踏向阴间。她不理会生命之路，她的路径变迁无定，自己也不知道。孩子们，现在要听从我，不可离弃我口中的话。你的道路要远离她，不可走近她的家门；免得你的精力给了别人，你的年日交给了残忍的人；免得外人饱享你的财物，你劳碌得来的归入别人的家。在你生命终结，你的肉体和身躯衰残的时候，你就悲叹，
