「你們不可做這些事玷污自己。因為我要在你們面前趕走的各國正是因為這些行為而玷污了自己。他們居住的土地也都被玷污了，所以我因他們的罪惡而懲罰那片土地，我要使那片土地吐出他們。

要讚美錫安的耶和華，讚美住在耶路撒冷的耶和華。你們要讚美耶和華！

我要住在以色列人中間，做他們的上帝。他們必知道我是他們的上帝耶和華。我帶領他們離開埃及，就是為了要住在他們中間。我是他們的上帝耶和華。

我曾說你們必佔據他們的土地，我要把那片奶蜜之鄉賜給你們作產業。我是你們的上帝耶和華，我已經把你們跟萬族分開。所以，你們要區分潔淨和不潔淨的獸類與鳥類。不可吃那些我視為不潔淨的飛禽、走獸和爬蟲，以免玷污自己。你們要聖潔，因為我耶和華是聖潔的。我把你們跟萬族分開，使你們做我的子民。

所有污穢的、做可憎之事的、撒謊的都不得進入聖城。唯有名字記錄在羔羊的生命冊上的人才有資格進去。

我必住在以色列人當中，不拋棄我的以色列子民。」

我聽見從寶座中傳來響亮的聲音說：「看啊！上帝的居所設立在人間，祂要與人同住。他們要成為祂的子民，上帝要親自與他們同在，作他們的上帝。

你們將不能再住在耶和華的土地上。以法蓮要返回埃及，在亞述吃不潔之物。

上帝的殿與偶像怎能相提並論呢？因為我們就是永活上帝的殿，正如上帝說：「我要住在他們中間，在他們當中往來；我要作他們的上帝，他們要作我的子民。」又說：「所以，你們要從他們中間出來，離開他們，不要沾染污穢之物，我就接納你們。
