這樣，你們就不會污穢所住之地，因為血能使地污穢；若有血流在地上，除非流那殺人者的血，否則那地就不得潔淨。

這樣，你們就不至於使你們所在之地成了俗污，因為血能使地成了俗污；若有在地上流人血的，非流那殺人者的血，那地之被血染就不能得潔除。

如是、則不污爾所居之地、蓋流人血、乃污其地、非流殺人者之血、則無以潔之、

如殺人命、則污衊斯土、殺人者未償命、則污仍不去、

毋污爾所居之地、殺人流血、即為污其地、若殺人流血於地、不殺殺人者流其血、則地不得潔、

“‘ Do not pollute the land where you are. Bloodshed pollutes the land, and atonement cannot be made for the land on which blood has been shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it.

“‘ Do not pollute the land where you are. Murder pollutes the land. Only one thing can pay to remove the pollution in the land where murder has been committed. The blood of the one who spilled another’s blood must be spilled.

You shall not pollute the land in which you live, for blood pollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except by the blood of the one who shed it.

This will ensure that the land where you live will not be polluted, for murder pollutes the land. And no sacrifice except the execution of the murderer can purify the land from murder.

“ Do not defile the land where you live, for bloodshed defiles the land, and there can be no atonement for the land because of the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of the person who shed it.

So you shall not defile the land in which you live; for blood defiles the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of the one who shed it.

So you shall not pollute the land where you are; for blood defiles the land, and no atonement can be made for the land, for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of him who shed it.

So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood, it polluteth the land; and no expiation can be made for the land for the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

現在，許多國家聚集攻擊你，說：「讓錫安被玷污！讓我們親眼看到！」

凡流人血的，他的血也必被人所流，因為上帝造人，是照自己的形像造的。

流無辜人的血，就是自己兒女的血，用他們祭祀迦南的偶像，那地就被血玷污了。

「人子啊，你要向這地說：你是未被潔淨之地，在我盛怒的日子，沒有雨水在其上。其中的先知同謀背叛，如咆哮的獅子抓撕掠物。他們吞滅人命，搶奪財寶，使這地寡婦增多。其中的祭司曲解我的律法，褻瀆我的聖物，不分別聖與俗，也不使人分辨潔淨和不潔淨，又遮眼不顧我的安息日；在他們中間連我也被褻慢了。其中的領袖彷彿野狼抓撕掠物，流人的血，傷害人命，為得不義之財。

然而，耶和華向猶大所發猛烈的怒氣仍不止息，因為瑪拿西種種的惡事激怒了他。

他們又與巴力‧毗珥連合，吃了祭死人的物。

為使創世以來所流眾先知的血的罪都歸在這世代的人身上，就是從亞伯的血起，直到被殺在祭壇和聖所中間的撒迦利亞的血為止。是的，我告訴你們，這都要向這世代的人追討。

這樣，你們就證明自己是殺害先知的人的子孫了。你們去充滿你們祖宗的惡貫吧！你們這些蛇啊，毒蛇的孽種啊，怎能逃脫地獄的懲罰呢？所以，我差遣先知、智慧人和文士到你們這裏來，有的你們要殺害，要釘十字架；有的你們要在會堂裏鞭打，從這城追逼到那城，如此，地上所有義人流的血都歸到你們身上，從義人亞伯的血起，直到你們在聖所和祭壇中間所殺的巴拉加的兒子撒迦利亞的血為止。

因為，看哪，耶和華從他的居所出來，要懲罰地上居民的罪孽。地必露出其中的血，不再掩蓋被殺的人。

「在耶和華－你上帝所賜你為業的地上，若發現有人被殺，暴屍野地，不知道是誰殺的，長老和審判官就要出去，從屍體那裏量起，量到四圍的城鎮，看哪一座城最靠近這屍體，那城的幾位長老就要取一頭未曾耕地、未曾負軛的母牛犢；那城的長老要把這母牛犢牽到流着溪水、未曾耕耘、未曾撒種的山谷去，在谷中打斷牠的頸項。利未人祭司要近前來，因為耶和華－你的上帝揀選他們來事奉他，奉耶和華的名祝福，並且有任何的爭訟和毆打，都由他們的口判決。離屍體最近的那座城的每位長老要在山谷中，在頸項被打斷的母牛犢上面洗手，聲明說：『我們的手未曾流這人的血；我們的眼也未曾看見這事。耶和華啊，求你赦免你所救贖的百姓以色列，不要讓無辜的血歸在你的百姓以色列中間。』這樣，他們流血的罪就必得赦免。

連地也玷污了，我懲罰那地的罪孽，地就吐出它的居民來。

惟起誓、欺騙、殺害、偷盜、姦淫、殘暴、流血又流血。因此，這地悲哀，其上的居民、野地的走獸、天空的飛鳥都日趨衰微，海中的魚也必消滅。

又因他流無辜人的血，使無辜人的血充滿耶路撒冷；耶和華不願赦免。

不可讓屍體留在木頭上過夜，一定要當日把他埋葬，因為被掛的人是上帝所詛咒的。你不可玷污耶和華－你上帝所賜你為業的地。」
