開路者要走在他們前面，帶領他們衝出敵人的城門。他們的王走在前面，耶和華親自引導他們。」

你們不必匆忙離開，也不用奔逃，因為耶和華必走在你們前面，以色列的上帝必作你們的後盾。

埃及人懼怕他們，樂見他們離去。

約瑟遵照法老之命把埃及最好的地方——蘭塞境內的土地給他父親和弟兄們居住，作他們的產業。

「從現在開始，你們要以這個月為一月，為一年之首。

於是，埃及人派監工強迫以色列人服勞役，在比東和蘭塞兩地為法老興建儲貨城。
