途間勿囊、勿二衣、勿履、勿杖、蓋工得其食、宜也、

且可謂取什一之利未、曾由亞伯拉罕而輸什一、蓋麥基洗德遇亞伯拉罕時、利未尚在其先祖之身、○昔民在利未人祭司職下受律、若由之而得完全、則何須別興一祭司依麥基洗德之班、而不謂之依亞倫班乎、蓋祭司之職既易、則律亦必易、

試思先祖亞伯拉罕、以所獲之極品什一贈之、其人之尊為何如耶、夫利未子孫受祭司職者、亦奉命依律取什一於民、即出於亞伯拉罕膝下、為其兄弟者、但麥基洗德不屬利未譜系、乃取什一於亞伯拉罕而祝其蒙許者、

學道者、宜以財物供教者、

以色列族所有舉祭、奉於祭司者、必歸祭司、
