Take the Levites for me in place of all the firstborn of the Israelites, and the livestock of the Levites in place of all the firstborn of the livestock of the Israelites. I am the Lord.”

Take the Levites for me in their place. And take the livestock of the Levites in place of all the male animals in Israel born first to their mothers. I am the Lord.”

And you shall take the Levites for me— I am the Lord— instead of all the firstborn among the people of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the cattle of the people of Israel.”

The Levites must be reserved for me as substitutes for the firstborn sons of Israel; I am the Lord. And the Levites’ livestock must be reserved for me as substitutes for the firstborn livestock of the whole nation of Israel.”

You are to take the Levites for me— I am the LORD— in place of every firstborn among the Israelites, and the Levites’ cattle in place of every firstborn among the Israelites’ cattle.”

“看哪，我從以色列人中，揀選了利未人，代替以色列人所有頭生的，就是他們的長子，所以利未人要歸我。

“你要揀選利未人代替以色列人所有頭生的，也要揀選利未人的牲畜代替以色列人的牲畜；利未人要歸我，我是耶和華。

就站在營門中，說：“凡是屬耶和華的，都可以到我這裡來。”於是，所有利未的子孫都到他那裡聚集。摩西對他們說：“耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘你們各人要把自己的劍佩在大腿上，在營中往來行走，從這門到那門；你們各人要殺自己的兄弟、鄰舍和親人。’”利未的子孫照著摩西的話作了；那一天，人民中被殺的約有三千人。摩西說：“今天你們要奉獻自己歸耶和華為聖，因為各人犧牲了自己的兒子和兄弟，好使耶和華今天賜福給你們。”

又派了以色列人中的青年人去獻燔祭，又向耶和華殺牛獻為平安祭。摩西取了一半的血，盛在盆中；又取了另一半的血，灑在祭壇上。

正如人子來，不是要受人的服事，而是要服事人，並且要捨命，作許多人的贖價。”

有血肉生命頭生的，無論是人或是牲畜，就是他們獻給耶和華的，都必歸給你；只是人類頭生的，你總要贖出來；不潔淨牲畜頭生的，也要贖出來。

因為他們是以色列人中完全獻給我的；我選出了他們歸我，是代替以色列人中所有頭生的。

他捨了自己作萬人的贖價，到了適當的時候，這事就證實了。
