“‘ On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. Celebrate a festival to the Lord for seven days.

“‘ On the 15th day of the seventh month, come together for a special service. Do not do any regular work. Celebrate the Feast of Booths for seven days to honor the Lord.

“ On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall keep a feast to the Lord seven days.

“ Five days later, on the fifteenth day of the same month, you must call another holy assembly of all the people, and you may do no ordinary work on that day. It is the beginning of the Festival of Shelters, a seven day festival to the Lord.

“ You are to hold a sacred assembly on the fifteenth day of the seventh month; you do not do any daily work. You are to celebrate a seven-day festival for the LORD.

‘ Then on the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy assembly; you shall do no laborious work, and you shall celebrate with a feast to the Lord for seven days.

『你從禾場上和酒池中收藏了出產物以後、就要舉行住棚節七天。過節的時候、你要歡樂，你跟你兒子和女兒、你的奴僕和使女、以及在你城內的利未人、寄居者、孤兒、寡婦、都要歡樂。

七月十五日、節期中、七天、他都要這樣行：照逾越節解罪祭、燔祭、素祭、和油的條例一樣。

列國中一切殘存的人、從前曾來攻擊耶路撒冷的、將來必年年上來敬拜至大的王、萬軍之永恆主，並守住棚之節。將來地上的萬族中、凡不上耶路撒冷來敬拜至大的王、萬軍之永恆主的、必沒有霖雨降在他們地上。埃及族若不上來，若不來朝，那麼在他們身上就必有永恆主所用來擊打列國人的疫症：因為那些列國人不上來守住棚之節。這必作為埃及的罪罰，和所有不上來守住棚節的列國人的罪罰。

從頭一天直到末一天、以斯拉天天誦讀着上帝的律法書。眾人都過了節七天；第八天照典章有聖節會。

你要守收割之節，獻你勞作的初熟物，就是你在田地裏所播種的。你要守收集之節，就是在快要出年、你從田地裏收集你的農作物的時候。

道成了肉身，住在我們中間（我們見過他的榮光，正是個獨生者由父而來的榮光），豐豐滿滿地有恩典有「真實」。（

你要舉行七七節，在收割初熟麥子的時候舉行；收藏節乃在年底。

永恆主告訴摩西說：『你要告訴以色列人說；七月十五日是住棚節，要給永恆主守這節七天。頭一天要有聖聚會；甚麼勞碌的工都不可作。七天之內要將火祭獻與永恆主；第八天要有聖聚會，要將火祭獻與永恆主；這是聖節會；甚麼勞碌的工都不可作。『以上這些是永恆主的制定節期、就是你們要宣告為聖聚會，要將火祭獻與永恆主的；還有燔祭、素祭、宰獻祭、奠祭、各歸各日；此外還有永恆主的安息日，還有你們的禮物，還有你們所還的一切還願物，還有你們所自願獻的一切、就是你們所獻與永恆主的。『又在七月十五日，你們收藏了地的出產後，要守永恆主的節七天；頭一天要完全歇息，第八天也要完全歇息。頭一天你們要拿美麗之樹的果子、和棕樹枝、茂密樹的枝條跟谿谷間的楊柳條，在永恆主你們的上帝面前歡樂七天。每年七月間、你們要向永恆主守為節期七天：這要做你們世世代代永遠的條例；在七月間你們要守這節。你們要住在樹枝棚子裏七天；凡在以色列中的本地人都要住在樹枝棚子裏，好叫你們世世代代知道我領以色列人出埃及地的時候、曾使他們住在樹枝棚子裏；我永恆主你們的上帝。』

他們見律法上寫着；就是永恆主由摩西經手所吩咐，叫以色列人要在七月節上住在樹枝棚裏；

因着信、他僑居在應許之地做外人，在帳棚裏居住；跟同做後嗣而承受這同一應許的以撒雅各在一起；因為他期待着那有根基的城，就是上帝做其設計者和建造者的。因着信、連撒拉雖過了生育歲數的時期，還能獲得能力而孕懷後裔，因為她以那發應許的為可信可靠；故此竟從一個人、又是彷彿死了的、生出子孫來，像天上的星辰那麼眾多，像海濱的沙那麼無數。這些人都是存着信心而死，沒有領受所應許的，乃是遠遠望見而致敬，承認自己在地上是旅客是寄居的。
