“ Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among Korah’s followers, who banded together against the Lord, but he died for his own sin and left no sons.

這些人中間，沒有一個是摩西和亞倫祭司從前在西奈曠野數點以色列人的時候，數點過的。因為耶和華論到他們曾經說過：“他們必死在曠野。”所以除了耶孚尼的兒子迦勒和嫩的兒子約書亞以外，連一個也沒有剩下。

看哪！所有的人都是屬我的，作父親的怎樣屬我，作兒子的也怎樣屬我，唯獨犯罪的，才會滅亡。

我耶和華已經說了，我必要這樣對待這聚集反抗我的惡會眾；他們要在這曠野滅盡，在這裡死亡。”

罪藉著死掌權；照樣，恩典也藉著義掌權，使人藉著我們的主耶穌基督進入永生。

以利押的兒子是尼母利、大坍、亞比蘭。這大坍和亞比蘭原是從會眾中選拔出來的，他們和可拉一黨的人一起與耶和華爭吵，也與摩西和亞倫爭吵的時候，地開了口，把他們和可拉吞了下去；可拉與他的同黨都死了，那時有火吞滅了二百五十個人，他們成了警戒。

利未的曾孫、哥轄的孫子、以斯哈的兒子可拉，和流本子孫中以利押的兒子大坍、亞比蘭，與比勒的兒子安，帶著人來，反抗摩西，還有以色列人中的二百五十個人，就是會眾的領袖；會眾中被選出有名望的人。他們聚集起來反抗摩西和亞倫，對他們說：“你們太過分了，全體會眾個個都是聖潔的，耶和華也在他們中間，你們為甚麼高抬自己，超過耶和華的會眾呢？”

地開了口，把他們和他們的家眷，以及一切屬可拉的人和財物，都吞了下去。這樣，他們和一切屬他們的，都活活地下到陰間，地在他們上面合閉，他們就從會眾中滅亡了。在他們四周的以色列眾人，聽見他們的呼叫，就都逃跑，說：“恐怕地也把我們吞下去。”又有火從耶和華那裡出來，把那獻香的二百五十個人吞滅了。

所以我對你們說，你們要在自己的罪中死亡；你們若不信我就是‘那一位’，就要在自己的罪中死亡。”

除了因可拉事件死亡的以外，因瘟疫死亡的有一萬四千七百人。

因為罪的工價就是死，但神的恩賞，在我們的主基督耶穌裡，卻是永生。

耶穌又對他們說：“我要去了，你們要尋找我，並且要在自己的罪中死亡；我去的地方，你們不能到。”

可拉召聚了全體會眾到會幕門口，來攻擊摩西和亞倫，耶和華的榮光就向全體會眾顯現。

希弗的兒子西羅非哈沒有兒子，只有女兒；西羅非哈的女兒名叫瑪拉、挪阿、曷拉、密迦、得撒。

正好像罪藉著一個人入了世界，死又是從罪來的，所以死就臨到所有人，因為所有人都犯了罪。
