The Lord replied to Moses,“ Take Joshua son of Nun, a man who has the Spirit in him, and lay your hands on him.

So the Lord said to Moses,“ Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit of leadership, and lay your hand on him.

So the Lord said to Moses,“ Joshua, the son of Nun, has the ability to be a wise leader. Get him and place your hand on him.

So the Lord said to Moses,“ Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.

The Lord replied,“ Take Joshua son of Nun, who has the Spirit in him, and lay your hands on him.

The LORD replied to Moses,“ Take Joshua son of Nun, a man who has the Spirit in him, and lay your hands on him.

So the Lord said to Moses,“ Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;

And the Lord said to Moses:“ Take Joshua the son of Nun with you, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay thy hand upon him;

And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom[ is] the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;

The LORD replied to Moses,“ Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is such a spirit, and lay your hand on him;

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.

Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites obeyed him and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Then Pharaoh said to his servants,“ Can we find anyone like this, a man who has God’s spirit in him?”

laid his hands on him, and commissioned him, as the Lord had spoken through Moses.

The Spirit of the Lord came on him, and he judged Israel. Othniel went out to battle, and the Lord handed over Cushan-rishathaim king of Aram to him, so that Othniel overpowered him.

The Lord commissioned Joshua son of Nun,“ Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I swore to them, and I will be with you.”

And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began to speak in other languages and to prophesy.

But commission Joshua and encourage and strengthen him, for he will cross over ahead of the people and enable them to inherit this land that you will see.’

Then the Lord descended in the cloud and spoke to him. He took some of the Spirit that was on Moses and placed the Spirit on the 70 elders. As the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied, but they never did it again.Two men had remained in the camp, one named Eldad and the other Medad; the Spirit rested on them— they were among those listed, but had not gone out to the tent— and they prophesied in the camp.A young man ran and reported to Moses,“ Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.”Joshua son of Nun, assistant to Moses since his youth, responded,“ Moses, my lord, stop them!”But Moses asked him,“ Are you jealous on my account? If only all the Lord’s people were prophets and the Lord would place His Spirit on them!”

Moses then summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel,“ Be strong and courageous, for you will go with this people into the land the Lord swore to give to their fathers. You will enable them to take possession of it.The Lord is the One who will go before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.”

I’ve heard that you have the spirit of the gods in you, and that you have insight, intelligence, and extraordinary wisdom.

For God sent Him, and He speaks God’s words, since He gives the Spirit without measure.

So Samuel took the horn of oil, anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and the Spirit of the Lord took control of David from that day forward. Then Samuel set out and went to Ramah.Now the Spirit of the Lord had left Saul, and an evil spirit sent from the Lord began to torment him,

Do not neglect the gift that is in you; it was given to you through prophecy, with the laying on of hands by the council of elders.

teaching about ritual washings, laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

Then after they had fasted, prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them off.

After they went down there, they prayed for them, so the Samaritans might receive the Holy Spirit.For He had not yet come down on any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.Then Peter and John laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.When Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money,saying,“ Give me this power too, so that anyone I lay hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”

Hoshea son of Nun from the tribe of Ephraim;

Don’t be too quick to appoint anyone as an elder, and don’t share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

Then I will come down and speak with you there. I will take some of the Spirit who is on you and put the Spirit on them. They will help you bear the burden of the people, so that you do not have to bear it by yourself.

One of the young men answered,“ I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is also a valiant man, a warrior, eloquent, handsome, and the Lord is with him.”

Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.There are different ministries, but the same Lord.And there are different activities, but the same God activates each gift in each person.A demonstration of the Spirit is given to each person to produce what is beneficial:to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit,to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit,to another, the performing of miracles, to another, prophecy, to another, distinguishing between spirits, to another, different kinds of languages, to another, interpretation of languages.But one and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as He wills.

Moses said to Joshua,“ Select some men for us and go fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the hilltop with God’s staff in my hand.”

These were the names of the men Moses sent to scout out the land, and Moses renamed Hoshea son of Nun, Joshua.

They had them stand before the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.

Therefore, brothers, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and wisdom, whom we can appoint to this duty.

The Spirit of the Lord came on Jephthah, who traveled through Gilead and Manasseh, and then through Mizpah of Gilead. He crossed over to the Ammonites from Mizpah of Gilead.
