摩西吩咐以色列人說：『這是你們要憑拈鬮承受為業的地，是永恆主吩咐給予九個半支派的；

你們要按家族憑拈鬮承受那地以為業；人多的、要把產業多分給他們，人少的、要把產業少分給他們；拈出哪一塊地給哪一族，就要歸哪一族；你們要按父系支派而承受產業。

這樣，約書亞奪取了那一帶全地，都照永恆主所告訴摩西的；約書亞按族派照分配辦法將地給了以色列人做產業。於是遍地太平、沒有戰爭。

是照永恆主由摩西經手所吩咐、按他們產業所拈的鬮分給九個支派、和半個支派的。

第五鬮乃是給亞設人支派、按家族拈出的。

給拿弗他利人拈出了第六鬮，乃是給拿弗他利人、按家族拈的。

你要根據所拈的鬮、依人數的多少、把產業分給他們。

便為他們作鬮；鬮拈中了馬提亞，馬提亞就算和那十一位使徒同列了。

第四鬮是給以薩迦人按家族拈出的。

第二鬮是給西緬、給西緬人支派、按家族拈出的；他們的產業是在猶大人的產業中間。

抽的籤儘可以拋在人懷裏，定其事卻全是由於永恆主。

給但人的支派、按家族拈出了第七鬮。

第三鬮是給西布倫人按家族拈上的；他們產業的境界是到撒立；

抽籤能止息紛爭，能在二強之間排解。

我們也感謝父，因為他使你們能夠有分於眾聖者在光中的業分。

約瑟的子孫告訴約書亞說：『永恆主既然這樣賜福與我們，我們族民又多，你為甚麼只把一鬮一分之地分給我們為產業呢？』

約書亞就在示羅永恆主面前給他們抓鬮；約書亞在那裏照分配辦法將地分給以色列人。便雅憫人支派的鬮按家族拈上了；他們拈鬮所得的地、其境界是出於猶大子孫與約瑟子孫之間。

我聽見被蓋印者的數目：以色列子孫各支派中被蓋印的共有十四萬四千：猶大支派中被蓋印的有一萬二千；如便支派中有一萬二千；迦得支派中有一萬二千；亞設支派中有一萬二千；拿弗他利支派中有一萬二千；瑪拿西支派中有一萬二千；西緬支派中有一萬二千；利未支派中有一萬二千；以薩迦支派中有一萬二千；西布倫支派中有一萬二千；約瑟支派中有一萬二千；便雅憫支派中被蓋印的有一萬二千；

你們要將地繪畫成七分，把圖拿到我這裏來；我要在這裏、永恆主我們的上帝面前、給你們拈鬮。
