So on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho, Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them and said,

以色列人繼續前行，抵達約旦河東岸的摩押平原，在耶利哥對面安營。

從亞巴琳山啟行，至耶利哥對面、約旦河邊的摩押平原紮營。

在耶利哥對面、約旦河邊的摩押平原，耶和華對摩西說：

以上是摩西和以利亞撒祭司在約旦河邊、耶利哥對面的摩押平原統計的人數，

摩西從摩押平原登上尼波山，上到耶利哥對面的毗斯迦山頂。耶和華把整片土地指給他看，從基列一直到但，

耶和華把他安葬在摩押境內伯·毗珥對面的山谷，至今無人知道摩西的墳墓在哪裡。

以色列人在摩押平原為摩西致哀三十天，服喪的日子才結束。

當時他們在約旦河以東伯·毗珥對面的山谷，那裡原屬於希實本的亞摩利王西宏。摩西領以色列人離開埃及後消滅了西宏，佔領了他的土地，還佔領了巴珊王噩的土地。西宏和噩是約旦河東亞摩利人的兩個王，其國土從亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥一直到西雲山，即黑門山，包括約旦河東的整個亞拉巴，遠至毗斯迦山腳的亞拉巴海。

他們來到耶利哥對面、約旦河邊的摩押平原，把戰利品交給摩西、以利亞撒祭司和以色列全體會眾。
