陟山之巖、我為顧視、高崗之巔、我為瞻望、斯族獨居、不雜於眾。

我視之自山巔、觀之由高峰、此民獨處、不列於萬族中、

From the rocky peaks I see them, from the heights I view them. I see a people who live apart and do not consider themselves one of the nations.

I see them from the rocky peaks. I view them from the hills. I see a group of people who live by themselves. They don’t consider themselves to be one of the nations.

For from the top of the crags I see him, from the hills I behold him; behold, a people dwelling alone, and not counting itself among the nations!

I see them from the cliff tops; I watch them from the hills. I see a people who live by themselves, set apart from other nations.

I see them from the top of rocky cliffs, and I watch them from the hills. There is a people living alone; it does not consider itself among the nations.

For I see him from the top of the rocks, And I look at him from the hills; Behold, a people that lives in isolation, And does not consider itself to be among the nations.

Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob[ shall be] upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.

For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight?[ is it] not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that[ are] upon the face of the earth.

When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of[ those] lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.

And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws[ are] diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it[ is] not for the king’s profit to suffer them.

Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I[ am] with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises[ made] unto the fathers:And that the Gentiles might glorify God for[ his] mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition[ between us];

But ye[ are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as[ corn] is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
