Jacob’s people are like the dust of the earth. Can dust be counted? Who can count even a fourth of the Israelites? Let me die as godly people die. Let my death be like theirs!”

Mark the perfect[ man], and behold the upright: for the end of[ that] man[ is] peace.

And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth,[ then] shall thy seed also be numbered.

Precious in the sight of the LORD[ is] the death of his saints.

And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

For we know that if our earthly house of[ this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal[ must] put on immortality.So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.O death, where[ is] thy sting? O grave, where[ is] thy victory?The sting of death[ is] sin; and the strength of sin[ is] the law.But thanks[ be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth[ it] to heart: and merciful men[ are] taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil[ to come].He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds,[ each one] walking[ in] his uprightness.

Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting[ you] in remembrance;Knowing that shortly I must put off[ this] my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.

All that were numbered in the camp of Judah[ were] an hundred thousand and fourscore thousand and six thousand and four hundred, throughout their armies. These shall first set forth.

That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which[ is] upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

All that were numbered in the camp of Reuben[ were] an hundred thousand and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty, throughout their armies. And they shall set forth in the second rank.

Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
