斯民強甚、我非其敵、請汝至此、為我詛之、庶我擊之獲勝、驅之出境、蓋我素知爾所祝者、則必受祝、爾所詛者、則必受詛、

此民強悍、我非其敵、汝來詛之、使我得攻擊而獲勝、驅之出境、蓋我素知爾、祝人則人受福、詛人則人被禍。

其民較我強盛、請爾來為我詛之、或可攻而勝之、逐之出境、因我素知爾為誰祝福、誰則得福、爾咒詛誰、誰則受禍、

Now come and put a curse on these people, because they are too powerful for me. Perhaps then I will be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land. For I know that whoever you bless is blessed, and whoever you curse is cursed.”

So come and put a curse on these people. They are too powerful for me. Maybe I’ll be able to win the battle over them. Maybe I’ll be able to drive them out of the land. I know that whoever you bless is blessed. And I know that whoever you cursed is cursed.”

Come now, curse this people for me, since they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them from the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.”

Please come and curse these people for me because they are too powerful for me. Then perhaps I will be able to conquer them and drive them from the land. I know that blessings fall on any people you bless, and curses fall on people you curse.”

Please come and put a curse on these people for me because they are more powerful than I am. I may be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land, for I know that those you bless are blessed and those you curse are cursed.”

Now, therefore, please come, curse this people for me since they are too mighty for me; perhaps I will be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land. For I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.”

Therefore please come at once, curse this people for me, for they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.”

Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land; for I know that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.

他蹲如公獅，臥如母獅，誰敢惹他？凡為你祝福的，願他蒙福；凡詛咒你的，願他受詛咒。」

巴蘭唱起詩歌說：「巴勒領我出亞蘭，摩押王領我出東方的山脈：『來啊，為我詛咒雅各；來啊，怒罵以色列。』神沒有詛咒的，我焉能詛咒？耶和華沒有怒罵的，我豈能怒罵？

為你祝福的，我必賜福給他；詛咒你的，我必詛咒他。地上的萬族都必因你得福。」

後來，我們往那禱告的地方去時，有一個被占卜的靈附身的使女迎面走來，她使用法術使她的主人們發了大財。

他愛咒罵，咒罵就臨到他；他不喜愛祝福，祝福就遠離他！他拿咒罵當衣服穿上；這咒罵就如水進到他裏面，如油進入他骨頭。

有一個人名叫西門，向來在那城裏行邪術，自命為大人物，使撒瑪利亞的居民驚奇。所有的人，從小到大都聽從他，說：「這個人就是神的能力，那稱為大能者的。」

神對巴蘭說：「你不可跟他們去，也不可詛咒這百姓，因為他們是蒙福的。」

因為你們出埃及的時候，他們沒有拿食物和水在路上迎接你們，並且雇了美索不達米亞的毗奪人，比珥的兒子巴蘭來詛咒你。

那時，摩押王西撥的兒子巴勒起來攻擊以色列人，派人去召比珥的兒子巴蘭來詛咒你們。

非利士人對大衛說：「你拿着杖到我這裏來，我豈是狗嗎？」非利士人就指着自己的神明詛咒大衛。

那去召米該雅的使者對他說：「看哪，眾先知都異口同聲向王說吉言，你也跟他們說一樣的話，說吉言吧！」

儘管使用從幼年就施行的魔符和眾多的邪術吧！或許有些幫助，或許可以致勝。你籌劃太多，以致疲倦。讓那些觀天象，看星宿，在初一說預言的都起來，救你脫離所要臨到你的事！

我必使你得極大的尊榮，無論你向我要甚麼，我都給你。只求你來為我詛咒這百姓。』」

他們看見的是虛假，是謊詐的占卜，說是耶和華說的；其實耶和華並沒有差遣他們，他們卻指望那話必站立得住。

以色列王對約沙法說：「還有一個人，是音拉的兒子米該雅，我們可以託他求問耶和華。只是我真的很恨他，因為他對我說預言，從不說吉言，總是說凶信。」約沙法說：「請王不要這麼說。」

於是以色列王召集先知，約有四百人，問他們說：「我可以上去攻打基列的拉末嗎？還是不要上去呢？」他們說：「可以上去，因為主必將那城交在王的手裏。」

願萬民事奉你，萬族向你下拜。願你作你弟兄的主，你母親的兒子向你下拜。詛咒你的，願他受詛咒；祝福你的，願他蒙祝福。」

因為他們沒有拿食物和水來迎接以色列人，卻雇了巴蘭詛咒他們，但我們的神使那詛咒變為祝福。

任憑他們咒罵，你卻要賜福；他們幾時起來就必蒙羞，你的僕人卻要歡喜。

詛咒不會無故臨到，正如麻雀掠過，燕子翻飛。
