摩押人十分懼怕這民，因為他們眾多；摩押人因以色列人的緣故，十分恐慌。

and Moab was terrified because there were so many people. Indeed, Moab was filled with dread because of the Israelites.

那時，以東的族長驚惶，摩押的英雄被戰兢抓住，所有迦南的居民都膽戰心寒。

這消息傳到埃及時，埃及人就為推羅這消息非常傷痛。

因為我們聽見你們從埃及出來的時候，耶和華怎樣使紅海的水在你們面前乾了，以及你們怎樣對待約旦河東亞摩利人的兩個王西宏和噩，把他們完全消滅。我們聽見了，就都心裡驚怕；沒有一人再有勇氣在你們面前站立；因為耶和華你們的神是天上、也是地上的神。

他們在無可驚懼的時候，必大大震驚；因為神把那些紮營攻擊你的人的骨頭擊散了；他們蒙羞受辱，因為神棄絕了他們。

他們又對約書亞說：“耶和華真的把那地全交在我們手裡了；那地所有的居民都在我們面前膽戰心驚。”

就在今天，我要使天下萬民聽見你的消息都驚慌懼怕，而且因你的緣故發抖疼痛。’

他們回答約書亞，說：“因為你的僕人確實地聽見，耶和華你的神曾經吩咐他的僕人摩西，要把這整片土地賜給你們，並且要在你們面前把這地上所有的居民都消滅，因此，我們因你們的緣故，很怕喪命，才行了這事。
