當天夜裏、上帝來找巴蘭、對他說：『這些人既然來請你，你就起來、和他們一同去吧；只是我所吩咐你行的事、你只要那樣行就好啦。』

That night God came to Balaam and said,“ Since these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you.”

That night God came to Balaam. He said,“ These men have come to get you. So go with them. But do only what I tell you to do.”

And God came to Balaam at night and said to him,“ If the men have come to call you, rise, go with them; but only do what I tell you.”

That night God came to Balaam and told him,“ Since these men have come for you, get up and go with them. But do only what I tell you to do.”

And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men are come to call thee, rise up, go with them; but only the word which I speak unto thee, that shalt thou do.

即使巴勒以盈室之金銀饋我、亦不可逾越耶和華之命、擅行善惡、惟耶和華所諭、我則言之、

巴蘭對曰、我豈不語汝、耶和華所諭、我必遵循、

對曰、耶和華授我之言、我不慎述之乎、

曰、姑與其人偕往、惟我所諭、爾必言之、於是巴蘭與巴勒使臣偕往、

耶和華敗列邦之謀、廢諸民之志兮、惟耶和華之謀永立、其志歷世弗替兮、

彼之來、乃依撒但之工作、以諸能諸兆諸偽蹟、又以非義之諸詭譎、加於淪亡者、因其不納真理之愛、致得救焉、故上帝施以乖謬、致信誑言、俾凡不信真理、而悅不義者服鞫、○

因爾向我暴怒、及爾狂傲之聲、達於我耳、我必置鈎於爾鼻、置勒於爾口、使循原途而返、

其欲未厭、食猶在口、上帝怒騰、戮其肥者、擊以色列之少壯、而仆之兮、

我怒以王予爾、亦怒而廢之、

我則任其剛愎厥心、依己所謀而行兮、

曰、爾年已邁、爾子不行爾道、今當為我立王、聽我之訟、與列國同、彼言立王聽訟、撒母耳不悅其事、禱於耶和華、耶和華諭之曰、凡民所言、爾可從之、彼非棄爾、乃棄我也、不欲我為其王、自我導之出埃及、迄於今日、彼之所行、離我而事他神、今待爾亦若是、可從其言、惟當加以警戒、示以治之之王、其制度若何、

爾見亞捫王拿轄來攻爾、則謂我曰、必有一王治我、是時爾上帝耶和華為爾之王、今觀爾曹所求所簡之王、耶和華立王治爾、如爾寅畏耶和華、而服事之、聽從其言、不違其命、且與治爾之王、順從爾上帝耶和華、則善矣、如弗聽從耶和華之言、背逆其命、則耶和華之手必敵爾、如昔敵爾祖然、今當屹立、觀耶和華於爾目前、所行之大事、今非刈麥之時乎、我籲耶和華、彼將發雷降雨、令爾明知爾求立王、乃為大惡於耶和華前、撒母耳遂籲耶和華、是日耶和華發雷降雨、眾民甚畏耶和華、與撒母耳、告撒母耳曰、爾為僕祈爾上帝耶和華、免我死亡、我之求王、乃加罪於罪也、

耶和華以言授巴蘭曰、返見巴勒、以此言告之、
