就怨讟神和摩西說：「你們為甚麼把我們從埃及領出來、使我們死在曠野呢？這裏沒有糧，沒有水，我們的心厭惡這淡薄的食物。」

百姓向上帝和摩西发怨言，说：“你们为什么把我们从埃及领上来，使我们死在旷野呢？这里没有粮食，没有水，我们厌恶这淡而无味的食物。”

就反抗神和摩西，说：“你们为什么把我们从埃及领上来，使我们死在旷野呢？这里没有粮食，又没有水，我们的心厌恶这淡薄的食物。”

百姓向上帝和摩西發怨言，說：「你們為甚麼把我們從埃及領上來，使我們死在曠野呢？這裏沒有糧食，沒有水，我們厭惡這淡而無味的食物。」

就說壞話攻擊上帝和摩西說：『你們為甚麼把我們從埃及領上來，讓我們死在這曠野呢？這裏沒有食物、沒有水；這淡薄的食物，我們的胃口都憎厭了。』

怨上帝及摩西曰、奚導我出埃及、使死於野、無糧無水、所食淡薄、我心厭之、

怨讟天主與摩西曰、奚導我出伊及、使我死於曠野、在此無糧無水、我心厭此淡薄之食、

they spoke against God and against Moses, and said,“ Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!”

So they spoke against God and against Moses. They said,“ Why have you brought us up out of Egypt? Do you want us to die here in the desert? We don’t have any bread! We don’t have any water! And we hate this awful food!”

And the people spoke against God and against Moses,“ Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we loathe this worthless food.”

and they began to speak against God and Moses.“ Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die here in the wilderness?” they complained.“ There is nothing to eat here and nothing to drink. And we hate this horrible manna!”

The people spoke against God and Moses:“ Why have you led us up from Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread or water, and we detest this wretched food!”

So the people spoke against God and Moses:“ Why have you brought us up from Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we are disgusted with this miserable food.”

And the people spoke against God and against Moses:“ Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and our soul loathes this worthless bread.”

And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, and there is no water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.

The people spoke against God and Moses:“ Why have you led us up from Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread or water, and we detest this wretched food!”

And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for[ there is] no bread, neither[ is there any] water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.

And the people spoke against God and against Moses,“ Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness, for there is no bread or water, and we detest this worthless food.”

The people spoke against God and against Moses:“ Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, there is no water, and our soul loathes this disgusting food!”

第二天，以色列全會眾都向摩西、亞倫發怨言說：「你們殺了耶和華的百姓了。」

並且妄論神說：神在曠野豈能擺設筵席嗎？

所以與摩西爭鬧，說：「給我們水喝吧！」摩西對他們說：「你們為甚麼與我爭鬧？為甚麼試探耶和華呢？」百姓在那裏甚渴，要喝水，就向摩西發怨言，說：「你為甚麼將我們從埃及領出來，使我們和我們的兒女並牲畜都渴死呢？」

你將我們從流奶與蜜之地領上來，要在曠野殺我們，這豈為小事？你還要自立為王轄管我們嗎？並且你沒有將我們領到流奶與蜜之地，也沒有把田地和葡萄園給我們為業。難道你要剜這些人的眼睛嗎？我們不上去！」

以色列人對摩西說：「我們死啦！我們滅亡啦！都滅亡啦！

當下，全會眾大聲喧嚷；那夜百姓都哭號。以色列眾人向摩西、亞倫發怨言；全會眾對他們說：「巴不得我們早死在埃及地，或是死在這曠野。耶和華為甚麼把我們領到那地，使我們倒在刀下呢？我們的妻子和孩子必被擄掠。我們回埃及去豈不好嗎？」眾人彼此說：「我們不如立一個首領回埃及去吧！」

以色列全會眾在曠野向摩西、亞倫發怨言，說：「巴不得我們早死在埃及地、耶和華的手下；那時我們坐在肉鍋旁邊，吃得飽足。你們將我們領出來，到這曠野，是要叫這全會眾都餓死啊！」

他們對摩西說：「難道在埃及沒有墳地，你把我們帶來死在曠野嗎？你為甚麼這樣待我們，將我們從埃及領出來呢？

眾百姓發怨言，他們的惡語達到耶和華的耳中。耶和華聽見了就怒氣發作，使火在他們中間焚燒，直燒到營的邊界。百姓向摩西哀求，摩西祈求耶和華，火就熄了。那地方便叫做他備拉，因為耶和華的火燒在他們中間。他們中間的閒雜人大起貪慾的心；以色列人又哭號說：「誰給我們肉吃呢？我們記得，在埃及的時候不花錢就吃魚，也記得有黃瓜、西瓜、韭菜、葱、蒜。現在我們的心血枯竭了，除這嗎哪以外，在我們眼前並沒有別的東西。」這嗎哪彷彿芫荽子，又好像珍珠。百姓周圍行走，把嗎哪收起來，或用磨推，或用臼搗，煮在鍋中，又做成餅，滋味好像新油。夜間露水降在營中，嗎哪也隨着降下。

人吃飽了，厭惡蜂房的蜜；人飢餓了，一切苦物都覺甘甜。

這食物，以色列家叫嗎哪；樣子像芫荽子，顏色是白的，滋味如同攙蜜的薄餅。

降嗎哪，像雨給他們吃，將天上的糧食賜給他們。各人吃大能者的食物；他賜下糧食，使他們飽足。

早晨，你們要看見耶和華的榮耀，因為耶和華聽見你們向他所發的怨言了。我們算甚麼，你們竟向我們發怨言呢？」摩西又說：「耶和華晚上必給你們肉吃，早晨必給你們食物得飽；因為你們向耶和華發的怨言，他都聽見了。我們算甚麼，你們的怨言不是向我們發的，乃是向耶和華發的。」

百姓就向摩西發怨言，說：「我們喝甚麼呢？」

神叫孤獨的有家，使被囚的出來享福；惟有悖逆的住在乾燥之地。

以色列人看見，不知道是甚麼，就彼此對問說：「這是甚麼呢？」摩西對他們說：「這就是耶和華給你們吃的食物。
