But Israel put him to death with their swords. They took over his land. They took everything from the Arnon River to the Jabbok River. But they didn’t take over any of the land of the Ammonites. That’s because the Ammonites had built strong forts along their border.

And Israel defeated him with the edge of the sword and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as to the Ammonites, for the border of the Ammonites was strong.

But the Israelites slaughtered them with their swords and occupied their land from the Arnon River to the Jabbok River. They went only as far as the Ammonite border because the boundary of the Ammonites was fortified.

我領你們到亞摩利人之地，就是住在約但河東那邊的；他們跟你們交戰，我將他們交在你們手中，你們便取得了他們的地以為業；我也將他們從你們面前消滅掉。

你們來到這地方，希實本王西宏、和巴珊王噩出來，上陣對我們接戰，我們擊敗了他們，

於是摩西將亞摩利王西宏的國、和巴珊王噩的國、那地、和屬那地的城市、在境界裏、連四圍之地的城市、都給了他們，就是給了迦得子孫、如便子孫、和約瑟子孫瑪拿西半個族派。迦得子孫就修建了底本、亞他錄、亞羅珥、亞他錄朔反、雅謝、約比哈、伯寧拉、伯哈蘭、這些堡壘城和羊壘圈。如便子孫修建了希實本、以利亞利、基列亭、尼波、巴力免（以上的兩個名字有改了的）、西比瑪，又給他們所修建的城市另起了別名。瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉、他的子孫往基列去，攻取了那地，把在那裏的亞摩利人趕出。摩西把基列給了瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉，瑪吉就住在那裏。瑪拿西的子孫睚珥去攻取亞摩利人的帳篷村，就把這些村子叫做哈倭特睚珥。挪巴去攻取基納和基納的眾廂鎮，就用自己的名字給叫做挪巴。

從基列到亞嫩谿谷、（谿谷中間也作為界線）、直到亞捫人的邊界、雅博溪河，我給了如便人和迦得人；

如便子孫和迦得子孫的牲畜又多又極盛；他們看雅謝地和基列地，見那地方是可牧放牲畜的地方。迦得子孫和如便子孫就來，對摩西和祭司以利亞撒跟會眾的首領們說：『亞大錄、底本、雅謝、寧拉、希實本、以利亞利、示班、尼波、比穩、是永恆主在以色列會眾面前所攻取之地，是可牧放牲畜之地；你僕人也有牲畜。』

又從那裏往前行，在亞嫩河那邊紮營；這亞嫩河是在曠野、從亞摩利人的地界流出來的；因為亞嫩河是摩押的邊界，在摩押與亞摩利人之間。

以及他對約但河東邊的亞摩利人兩個王、對希實本王西宏、對在亞斯他錄的巴珊王噩——所行一切的事。

以法蓮人應召而集，向着撒分前進，對耶弗他說：『你過去和亞捫人交戰，為甚麼沒有招我們和你同去呢？我們要用火燒你和你的房屋。』耶弗他對他們說：『我和我人民跟亞捫人爭鬪得很厲害；我曾經向你們呼救，你們竟沒有拯救我脫離他們的手。

以下這二人是以色列人所擊敗、而取得其地的兩個王；就是以色列人在約但河東邊、日出的方向、從亞嫩谿谷、直到黑門山、和全亞拉巴東邊、所擊敗的王。一個是亞摩利人的王西宏、住在希實本的；他所管轄的、是從亞嫩谿谷邊的亞羅珥、和谿谷中間、跟基列的一半、直到雅博河、亞捫人的境界，以及東邊的亞拉巴、直到基尼烈海，又到亞拉巴海、就是鹽海、東邊，按到伯耶西末的路向；其南界是毘斯迦下坡之下。

永恆主以色列的上帝將西宏和他的眾民都交在以色列人手中，以色列人就擊打他們，取得了住那地之亞摩利人的全地，取得了亞摩利人的四境，從亞嫩河到雅博河，從曠野直到約但河。如今永恆主以色列的上帝既把亞摩利人從他的人民以色列面前趕出，你竟要佔取這地麼？

他擊殺了許多國的人，殺戮了一大批的王：就是亞摩利王西宏，巴珊王噩，和迦南列國的王，將他們的地作為產業，給他人民以色列作產業。

如便人和迦得人已經同瑪拿西那半族派的人受了摩西在約但河東邊所給予他們的產業，照永恆主的僕人摩西所給了他們的：從亞嫩谿谷邊的亞羅珥、和谿谷中間的城、跟米底巴的全平原、直到底本，和在希實本作王的、亞摩利人的王西宏所有的城，直到亞捫人的境界。

永恆主對我說：「看哪，我已經着手將西宏和他的地交在你面前；你要着手取得他的地以為業。」那時西宏和他的眾民都出來，在雅雜戰場對我們接戰。永恆主我們的上帝將他交在我們面前，我們就把他和他的兒子們跟眾民都擊敗了。那時我們攻取了他所有的城市，將一切有男丁的城市、連女人帶小孩、都盡行毁滅歸神，連一個殘存的人也沒有留下；只留下我們所劫為己有的牲口、和我們攻取的城市中所掠得的東西。從亞嫩谿谷邊的亞羅珥、和谿谷中的城、直到基列，沒有一座城是高得使我們不能攻取的；這一切、永恆主我們的上帝都交在我們面前了。只有亞捫人的地、雅博谿谷兩旁、和山地的城市、以及永恆主我們的上帝所吩咐我們不可去的地方、你都沒有挨近。
