Now there was no water for the community, and the people gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron.

And[ when] the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard[ it]; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed[ them that were] in the uttermost parts of the camp.And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them.And the mixt multitude that[ was] among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:But now our soul[ is] dried away:[ there is] nothing at all, beside this manna,[ before] our eyes.

And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they[ were] bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them,[ Ye take] too much upon you, seeing all the congregation[ are] holy, every one of them, and the LORD[ is] among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for[ there is] no bread, neither[ is there any] water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.

And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and[ there was] no water for the people to drink.Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore[ is] this[ that] thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:

And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what[ are] we, that ye murmur against us?
