在彼見偉人亞衲族、我自較之、形猶蟿蟲、彼之視我亦若是、

時、有偉人在世、厥後、上帝子與世人之女同室、生子為上古英武有名之人、○

我將何往、我同儕使我喪膽、言斯土之民、較我修偉、城垣廣大鞏固、高可參天、且見亞衲族在彼、

利乏音族所存者、惟巴珊王噩、其床以鐵為之、長九肘、廣四肘、以人肘為度、今在亞捫人之拉巴邑、

其民乃亞衲族、軀幹修偉、爾所識者、亦嘗聞語云、孰能敵亞衲族乎、

上帝坐於寰宇、視民若蟿、布天猶幬、張之若可居之幕、

昔以米族居彼、其民眾多、軀幹修偉、如亞衲族然、

轉而南向、至希伯崙、此邑之建、前於埃及之瑣安七年、在彼有亞衲族亞希幔、示篩、撻買、

有挑戰者迦特人歌利亞、自非利士營出、體長六肘及一布指、首戴銅冑、身擐銅甲、重五千舍客勒、股著銅袚、肩負銅戟、其槍之柯、大如織器之梁、其鋒之鐵重六百舍客勒、持干者行於前、

又戰於迦特、有利乏裔一人、軀幹修偉、手足各有六指、共二十有四、其人侮以色列時、大衛兄示米亞子約拿單殺之、此四人、皆利乏裔、生於迦特、死於大衛及其臣僕之手、

又殺埃及偉人、其人身長五肘、其手執戈、大如織器之梁、比拿雅執杖往迎、奪其戈而殺之、

非利士人環視、見大衛則藐之、蓋其年少、色亦貌美、
