但那些和他同去的人卻說：「我們不能上去攻打那些百姓，因為他們比我們強大。」

跟他一起去打探的人卻說：「我們不能去攻打那些人，他們比我們強大。」

但是，那些與他同去的人卻說：“我們不能上去攻擊那民，因為他們比我們強。”

但是那些和他一同上去的人說：『我們不能上去攻擊那民族，因為他們比我們強壯。』

偕行者曰、彼強於我、不可往攻、

與迦勒偕往者曰、其民強於我、不可往攻之、

But the men who had gone up with him said,“ We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.”

But the men who had gone up with him spoke. They said,“ We can’t attack those people. They are stronger than we are.”

Then the men who had gone up with him said,“ We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are.”

But the other men who had explored the land with him disagreed.“ We can’t go up against them! They are stronger than we are!”

But the men who had gone up with him responded,“ We can’t attack the people because they are stronger than we are!”

But the men who had gone up with him said,“ We are not able to go up against the people, because they are too strong for us.”

雖然同我上去的眾弟兄使百姓膽戰心驚，我仍然專心跟從耶和華－我的上帝。

我們上哪裏去呢？我們的弟兄使我們膽戰心驚，說那裏的百姓比我們又大又高，那裏的城鎮又大，城牆又堅固，如天一樣高，並且我們在那裏看見亞衲族人。』

他們上到以實各谷，窺探了那地之後，竟然使以色列人灰心，不願進入耶和華所賜給他們的地。

這樣看來，他們不能進入安息是因為不信的緣故了。

「以色列啊，你要聽！你今日要過約旦河，進去佔領比你更強大的列國，那裏的城鎮又大，城牆又堅固，如天一樣高。
