Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said,“ We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”

Then Caleb interrupted the men speaking to Moses. He said,“ We should go up and take the land. We can certainly do it.”

But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said,“ Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.”

But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses.“ Let’s go at once to take the land,” he said.“ We can certainly conquer it!”

Then Caleb quieted the people in the presence of Moses and said,“ Let’s go up now and take possession of the land because we can certainly conquer it!”

惟獨我的僕人迦勒，因他另有一個心志，專心跟從我，我要領他進入他所去過的那地；他的後裔必得那地為業。

窺探那地的人中，嫩的兒子約書亞和耶孚尼的兒子迦勒撕裂衣服，對以色列全會眾說：「我們所走過、所窺探之地是極美之地。耶和華若喜愛我們，就必領我們進入那地，把這流奶與蜜之地賜給我們。但你們不可背叛耶和華，也不要怕那地的百姓，因為他們是我們的食物。保護他們的已經離開他們，耶和華卻與我們同在。不要怕他們！」

既是這樣，我們對這些事還要怎麼說呢？上帝若幫助我們，誰能抵擋我們呢？

我們倚靠上帝才得施展大能，因為踐踏我們敵人的就是他。

我靠着那加給我力量的，凡事都能做。

列邦圍繞我，我靠耶和華的名必剿滅他們。他們圍繞我，圍困我，我靠耶和華的名必剿滅他們。

猶大人來到吉甲，約書亞那裏，基尼洗族耶孚尼的兒子迦勒對約書亞說：「耶和華在加低斯‧巴尼亞指着我和你對神人摩西所說的話，你都知道。耶和華的僕人摩西從加低斯‧巴尼亞差派我窺探這地的時候，我剛四十歲。我把心裏的話向他報告。雖然同我上去的眾弟兄使百姓膽戰心驚，我仍然專心跟從耶和華－我的上帝。

你不要害怕，因為我與你同在；不要驚惶，因為我是你的上帝。我必堅固你，幫助你，用我公義的右手扶持你。看哪，凡向你發怒的都抱愧蒙羞，與你相爭的必如無有，並要滅亡。與你爭鬥的，你要尋找他們，卻遍尋不着；與你爭戰的必如無有，成為虛無。因為我耶和華－你的上帝必攙扶你的右手，對你說：「不要害怕！我必幫助你。」蟲子雅各，以色列人哪，不要害怕！我必幫助你；救贖你的是以色列的聖者。這是耶和華說的。看哪，我使你成為全新的打穀機，齒輪銳利；你要把山嶺打得粉碎，使岡陵如同糠粃。你要簸揚它們，風要將它們吹去；旋風要颳散它們。你卻要以耶和華為喜樂，因以色列的聖者誇耀。

然而，靠着愛我們的主，在這一切的事上，我們已經得勝有餘了。

他們藉着信，制伏了敵國，行了公義，得了應許，堵住了獅子的口，

耶和華是我的亮光，是我的拯救，我還怕誰呢？耶和華是我生命的保障，我還懼誰呢？那作惡的就是我的仇敵，前來吃我肉的時候就絆跌仆倒。
