他住在巴兰的旷野，他的母亲从埃及地给他娶了一个妻子。

他们来到了巴兰旷野的加低斯，见摩西、亚伦和以色列的全体会众，向摩西、亚伦及全体会众报告，又把那地的果子给他们看。

以下是摩西在约旦河东的旷野，疏弗对面的亚拉巴，就是在巴兰和陀弗、拉班、哈洗录、底撒哈之间，向以色列人所说的话。

以色列人出埃及地以后，第二年二月一日，耶和华在西奈的旷野，在会幕里对摩西说：

神由提幔而来，圣者从巴兰山临到。（细拉）他的荣光弥漫穹苍，赞美他的声音响彻大地。

从利非订起行，在西奈的旷野安营。从西奈的旷野起行，在基博罗．哈他瓦安营。

“我们照着耶和华我们的神吩咐我们的，从何烈山起行，走过你们所见那大而可怕的旷野，沿着到亚摩利人山地的路而行；后来到了加低斯．巴尼亚。

撒母耳死了，以色列众人都聚集起来，为他哀哭，把他埋葬在拉玛他自己的家里。大卫起身，下到巴兰的旷野去。

以色列人出埃及地以后，第二年正月，耶和华在西奈旷野吩咐摩西说：

他说：“耶和华从西奈而来，从西珥光照他们，从巴兰山射出光辉，在千万圣者中来临，在他的右手有烈火的律法。

在以色列人所有的旅程中是这样的：每逢云彩从帐幕收上去的时候，他们就起程；云彩若是不收上去，他们就不起程，直到云彩收上去的日子为止。

他们从疏割起程，在旷野边界的以倘安营。
