“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Red Sea,

你看见我们的列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂听他们在红海的哀求，

「你曾看見我們列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，

「『你曾看見我們祖先在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，

「『你曾看見我們祖先在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，

「你看見我們祖先在埃及所受的苦，又聽見他們在紅海邊的呼求，

你看見我們的列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海的哀求，

『你曾看見我們列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在蘆葦海邊的哀呼，

我之列祖、受苦於埃及、爾鑒之、哀號於紅海、爾聞之、

我之列祖於埃及、備受艱辛、爾鑒之、在紅海籲呼、爾聞之、

我列祖在伊及受艱苦、主鑒之、在紅海呼籲、主聽之、

“ You saw the suffering of our ancestors in Egypt; you heard their cry at the Red Sea.

“ You saw how our people of long ago suffered in Egypt. You heard them cry out to you at the Red Sea.

“ And you saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea,

“ You saw the misery of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cries from beside the Red Sea.

You saw the oppression of our ancestors in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea.

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea.

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea.

And thou sawest the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red Sea,

You saw the oppression of our ancestors in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea.

And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea;

“ You saw the affliction of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cry at the Red Sea.

When Pharaoh came near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were very afraid. The children of Israel cried out to Yahweh.They said to Moses,“ Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us out of Egypt?Isn’t this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying,‘ Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians?’ For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”Moses said to the people,“ Don’t be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today; for you will never again see the Egyptians whom you have seen today.Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.”

Yahweh said,“ I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.Now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to me. Moreover I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

I have surely seen the affliction of my people that is in Egypt, and have heard their groaning. I have come down to deliver them. Now come, I will send you into Egypt.’

God saw the children of Israel, and God was concerned about them.

Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and tell them,‘ Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying,“ I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt.
