You found his heart faithful to you, and you made a covenant with him to give to his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites. You have kept your promise because you are righteous.

You knew that his heart was faithful to you. And you made a covenant with him. You promised to give to his children after him a land of their own. It was the land of the Canaanites, Hittites and Amorites. The Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites also lived there. You have kept your promise. That’s because you always do what is right and fair.

He believed in Yahweh, who credited it to him for righteousness.

In that day Yahweh made a covenant with Abram, saying,“ I have given this land to your offspring, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites,the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim,the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.”

that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.

I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your offspring after you.I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.”

“ Behold, today I am going the way of all the earth. You know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which Yahweh your God spoke concerning you. All have happened to you. Not one thing has failed of it.

Yahweh appeared to Abram and said,“ I will give this land to your offspring.” He built an altar there to Yahweh, who had appeared to him.

So Yahweh gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give to their fathers. They possessed it, and lived in it.Yahweh gave them rest all around, according to all that he swore to their fathers. Not a man of all their enemies stood before them. Yahweh delivered all their enemies into their hand.Nothing failed of any good thing which Yahweh had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.

Not for your righteousness or for the uprightness of your heart do you go in to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations Yahweh your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may establish the word which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

in hope of eternal life, which God, who can’t lie, promised before time began;

Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected.So the Scripture was fulfilled which says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God.

He has remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac,

When he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, to whom he also testified,‘ I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who will do all my will.’

I thank him who enabled me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he counted me faithful, appointing me to service;although I used to be a blasphemer, a persecutor, and insolent. However, I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

but because Yahweh loves you, and because he desires to keep the oath which he swore to your fathers, Yahweh has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.Know therefore that Yahweh your God himself is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness with them who love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations,

By faith, Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac. Yes, he who had gladly received the promises was offering up his one and only son,

They will still produce fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green,to show that Yahweh is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that Yahweh spoke to Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land had rest from war.

to show mercy toward our fathers, to remember his holy covenant,the oath which he swore to Abraham, our father,

You shall come to the priest who shall be in those days, and tell him,“ I profess today to Yahweh your God, that I have come to the land which Yahweh swore to our fathers to give us.”

Now Yahweh said to Abram,“ Leave your country, and your relatives, and your father’s house, and go to the land that I will show you.I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great. You will be a blessing.I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who treats you with contempt. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”

to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite in the hill country, and the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpah.

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?

When all the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill country, and in the lowland, and on all the shore of the great sea in front of Lebanon, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard of it

I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

and said,“‘ I have sworn by myself,’ says Yahweh,‘ because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son,that I will bless you greatly, and I will multiply your offspring greatly like the stars of the heavens, and like the sand which is on the seashore. Your offspring will possess the gate of his enemies.All the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring, because you have obeyed my voice.’”

He said,“ Don’t lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

When Yahweh your God brings you into the land where you go to possess it, and casts out many nations before you— the Hittite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite— seven nations greater and mightier than you;

He brought his people out with joy, his chosen with singing.He gave them the lands of the nations. They took the labor of the peoples in possession,

I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’
