You found his heart faithful to you, and you made a covenant with him to give to his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites. You have kept your promise because you are righteous.

You knew that his heart was faithful to you. And you made a covenant with him. You promised to give to his children after him a land of their own. It was the land of the Canaanites, Hittites and Amorites. The Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites also lived there. You have kept your promise. That’s because you always do what is right and fair.

You found his heart faithful before you, and made with him the covenant to give to his offspring the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite. And you have kept your promise, for you are righteous.

亞伯蘭信耶和華、耶和華遂稱之為義。

當日耶和華與亞伯蘭約、曰、我以斯土、賜爾苗裔、自埃及河至百辣大河、即基尼、基尼洗、甲摩尼。赫、比哩洗、哩乏音、亞摩哩、迦南、革迦撒、耶布西、諸族之地。

上帝真實無妄、既許之而復誓之、皆不可易、吾素避難、冀得所許之福、大可慰藉、

我將與爾、及爾歷代苗裔、立我永約、為爾及爾裔之上帝、爾所旅者、即迦南一境、我將以之賜爾及爾苗裔、永為恆產、我亦為其上帝。○

今日我將逝世、無異凡民、乃爾一心一意、知爾上帝耶和華所許之福、萬無一失、毋或少遺。

耶和華顯現與亞伯蘭曰、我將以斯土、賜爾苗裔、亞伯蘭乃於顯現之處、築壇以祭。

以色列族得耶和華誓與其祖之地、據而居之。耶和華踐其所誓之言、以諸敵付於以色列族、無敵可禦、而於四周錫以平康、昔所許以色列族諸福、俱臨於上、無一遺焉。

爾之得土、非為爾正心行義、乃為斯民行惡、爾之上帝耶和華、驅之於爾前、以踐其所誓爾祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之言。

望誠實上帝、上世之先、所許永生、

昔吾祖亞伯拉罕獻子以撒於壇、非以所行明其義乎、厥行即信之功效、而信以之全備、應經所云、亞伯拉罕信上帝、遂得稱義、於是亞伯拉罕為上帝所愛、

彼立厥約、永世弗忘兮、昔與亞伯拉罕立約、與以撒發誓兮、

上帝廢之、舉大闢為王、嘉之曰、我遇耶西子大闢得我心、遵我旨者也、

謝吾主基督耶穌、以我為忠、助我大力、畀我厥職、昔我嘗謗讟、窘逐、狎侮之、第此妄作、乃由不知不信而然、故猶蒙矜恤、

乃為疇昔發誓、許爾祖宗、亦為悅爾、故施其大能、導爾出埃及、拯爾於法老、脫爾於賤役、以踐其前言。汝必知爾之上帝耶和華誠為上帝、真實無妄、愛上帝守其誡者、必循前約、加以仁慈、垂至千百世、

亞伯拉罕被試時有信、而獻子以撒於上帝、

歷年雖久、結實依然、青青向榮兮、我上帝耶和華至義、罔不秉公、以此可徵兮。

於是約書亞循耶和華所諭摩西之命、取四方之地、賜以色列族為業、循其支派班列、而後息戰。

矜恤我祖、念其聖命、即與我祖亞伯拉罕所矢之誓、

見在位之祭司、曰、我於今日明告我上帝耶和華前、所誓列祖欲錫我之地、我已至之。

耶和華諭亞伯蘭云、爾可出故土、離戚族、遠父家、往我所示之地。我將使爾後成為大邦、錫嘏於爾、畀爾顯名、必蒙綏祉。祝爾者吾亦祝之、詛爾者吾亦詛之、天下兆民、將藉爾受福焉。

自東至西之迦南人、亞摩哩人、赫人、比哩洗人、居山之耶布士人、密士巴地。黑門山麓之希未人。

上帝與人異、不失其信、不回其志、詎有言出而不行、既許而不應。

約但西陵谷、及利巴嫩相嚮之所、濱大海四方、赫人、亞摩哩人、迦南人、比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人、諸王、風聞此事、

我降臨以拯之、脫於埃及人手、導出其境、以詣至腴至廣之地、其地產乳與蜜、即迦南人、赫人、亞摩哩人、比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人所處者。

若我任罪、上帝公義、言出惟行、將赦我罪、滌我愆尤、

曰、耶和華指己而誓、曰、因爾行是、不惜嫡子一人、我必大賚爾福祉、昌熾爾子孫、如天星之眾多、如海沙之無量、爾子孫將勝諸敵、因爾遵我命、天下兆民將藉爾裔而受福祉。

曰、爾子莫擊莫傷、我知爾畏我、蓋爾嫡子、惟此一人、猶且不惜、以獻於我。

厥後爾之上帝耶和華、導爾入所得之土、驅逐赫人、革迦西人、亞摩哩人、迦南人比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人、此七族較爾強大、

導彼選民、靡不臚懽、謳歌而出兮、使有異邦、其所經營之地、彼得而享之兮、

我將脫爾於苦厄、導爾出埃及至迦南人、赫人、亞摩哩人、比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人之地、其地產乳與蜜。
