他使海裂開，讓他們過去；又叫水直立如壘。

摩西就向海伸手；天快亮時候，海水回到原流的分量；埃及人逆流逃跑，永恆主把埃及人都抖在海中。水一回流，淹沒了車輛和馬兵、以及法老的全軍，那些跟着以色列人下海裏去的，連一個也沒有剩下。

摩西向海伸手，永恆主便終夜用極強的東風使海退去；他使海成了旱地；水也裂開了。以色列人下海中、在乾地上走；水在他們左右兩邊就像牆一樣。

要稱謝那將蘆葦海分裂開的，因為他堅固的愛永遠長存；他領以色列從那中間經過，因為他堅固的愛永遠長存；卻把法老和法老的軍兵都抖掉在蘆葦海裏，因為他堅固的愛永遠長存；

於是他們想起往古之日，想起主的僕人摩西，說：那將人民、將看顧他全羣的牧人們從海裏領上來的、在哪裏呢？那將他的聖靈降在他們中間的、在哪裏呢？那使他榮美的膀臂在摩西的右手邊行動、在他們面前將水分開、使他們走過深洋、來為他自己立個永遠之名的、在哪裏呢？像馬在曠野裏，他們未曾絆跌；

洋海看見就奔逃，約但河也倒流。大山踴躍如公羊，小山蹦跳如羊仔兒。洋海啊，你為甚麼奔逃？約但河啊，你為甚麼倒流？

他叱責了蘆葦海，海便乾了；他就領了他們經過深處，如過牧野。他拯救了他們脫離恨惡者的手，贖救了他們脫離仇敵手中。水淹沒了他們的敵人，一個也沒有存留。

因着信、以色列人過蘆葦海，像過旱地；埃及人一試，就被吞滅了。

他將海變成乾地；眾民步行過河；在那裏我們因他而歡喜。

那時摩西和以色列人就唱以下這首歌頌讚永恆主說；『我要歌頌永恆主，因為他得勝昂首，將馬和騎兵投入海中。永恆主是我的力量、我的詩歌，也成了我的救星。這位是我的上帝；我要讚美他；是我父的上帝；我要尊崇他。永恆主是戰士；他的名是永恆主耶和華。他將法老的車輛和軍兵扔於海中；法老特選的軍官都沉於蘆葦海。深淵淹沒了他們；他們如同石頭墜到深海。永恆主啊，你的右手威嚴而大有能力；永恆主啊，你的右手擊碎了仇敵。你以威風之凜凜推翻那起來攻擊你的；你發出烈怒把他們燒盡了，像燒碎稭一樣。你發鼻孔中之氣，水便堆積起來；河流直立如壘；深淵凝結於海中心。仇敵說：「我要追趕，我要趕上；我要分擄物；我要拿住他們，來滿足心願。我要拔出刀來，親手趕滅他們。」但你一吹氣，海就淹沒他們，他們就像鉛沉沒於壯闊水中。永恆主啊，在諸神中，誰能像你呢？誰能像你有至聖的威風，有可讚之可畏，施行着奇事呢？你伸出右手，地便吞滅他們。你憑你堅固的愛領導你所贖回的人民，你用你的力量引領他們到你的聖居所。萬族之民聽見就戰抖，慘痛抓住了非利士的居民。那時以東的族系長驚惶，摩押的權貴被戰兢抓住，迦南的居民都震撼搖動：恐怖震懾襲擊了他們。永恆主啊，因你膀臂之大能力，他們竟如石頭寂然不動，等你的人民過去，等你所獲得的人民過去。你要將他們領進去，栽於那山上，於你的產業上，永恆主啊，於你為自己所造的住處上，主啊，於你手所建立的聖所上。永恆主必掌王權、直到永永遠遠。』因為法老的馬匹、連他的車輛馬兵、進海中去的時候，永恆主使海水回流到他們身上，而以色列人卻在海中走乾地。亞倫的姐姐、女神言人米利暗、手裏拿着手鼓，眾婦女也跟着她出去，拿着手鼓在舞蹈。米利暗跟她們唱和着說：『你們要歌頌永恆主，因為他得勝昂首，將馬和騎兵投入海中。』

有一位大有力量的天使舉起一塊石頭來、像大磨石、丟在海裏、說：『巴比倫大城也必這樣砰磅一下被丟下，決不能再看到了！
