七月將屆、以色列族、自諸邑至耶路撒冷、咸集惟一心。約薩撻子耶書亞及其同宗、咸為祭司、暨撒拉鐵子所羅把伯、及其同宗、築以色列族上帝之壇、燔祭於上、遵上帝僕摩西之律例、雖懼鄰國、仍立祭壇於其地、朝夕獻燔、奉事耶和華。守張幕節、循例獻燔、日供祭品、依其物數。後於月朔、及耶和華所定之節期、恆獻燔祭、外此凡有樂輸禮物、奉事耶和華者亦獻之。七月朔始獻燔祭、惟耶和華殿基猶未築。畀金於木工石工、畀餱糧油膏與西頓推羅人、使運柏香木、自利巴嫩至約帕海濱、循巴西王古列之諭。至耶路撒冷、詣上帝殿所之二年二月、撒拉鐵子所羅把伯、約薩撻子耶書亞、及所餘同宗祭司利未人、與被虜而歸之眾、肇造耶和華殿、使利未人、自二十歲以上、督建殿之百工。耶書亞及其子弟甲滅族、猶大族、希拿達族、與其同宗利未人、治理建殿之百工。版築者築殿基時、耶書亞使祭司、禮服執角、利未人亞薩族敲鈸頌讚耶和華、遵以色列王大闢之命、耶和華無不善、恆懷矜憫、祐以色列族、故更唱迭和、謳歌頌讚、眾見耶和華殿基已成、則大聲歡呼、頌讚耶和華。有數祭司、利未人、及族中最著者、耆年之士、曾見古昔之殿、今見人置斯殿基、大聲哭泣者有人、欣然歡呼者有人。民大聲號呼、遙聞其音、故哭泣與歡呼之聲、一時不能辨。

當察作證之言、必稽出命之書、否則不睹旭日之光。

以色列會眾群集、自但至別是巴、與基列地之民、皆至米斯巴、咸懷一心、立於耶和華前。

至泉門前、由階而升、上大闢之邑、登垣墉、近大闢宮、東至水門。

民遂往、取枝作廬、在屋巔、院內、上帝殿院、或在水門衢、或在以法蓮門衢。

昔在何烈、我以禮儀法度、賜於我僕摩西、播傳於以色列族、爾當銘記、

是以我遣先知、智人、士子就爾、殺者有之、釘十字架者有之、鞭於會堂者有之、在在窘逐者又有之、

奚必自誇為智、得耶和華之律例、繕寫舛謬、盡成偽例。智者迷惑愧恥、不勝憂疑、棄耶和華之道、鳥得為智。

眾懷一心曰、我不歸故幕故家、

曰、夫如是、則士子學天國者、如一家主、由庫中出新舊之物焉、○

偽善之士子、𠵽唎㘔人、其有禍乎、以爾當人前閉天國、爾自不進、而將進者、爾不許、

士子𠵽唎㘔人、坐摩西位、
