I sent him this reply:“ Nothing like what you are saying is happening; you are just making it up out of your head.”

I sent a reply to Sanballat. I said,“ What you are saying isn’t really happening. You are just making it up.”

Then I sent to him, saying,“ No such things as you say have been done, for you are inventing them out of your own mind.”

Then I replied to him,“ There is nothing to these rumors you are spreading; you are inventing them in your own mind.”

Then I sent a message to him saying,“ Nothing like these things that you are saying has been done, but you are inventing them in your own mind.”

Then I sent to him, saying,“ No such things as you say are being done, but you invent them in your own heart.”

Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart.

Then I replied to him,“ There is nothing to these rumors you are spreading; you are inventing them in your own mind.”

Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart.

I sent word back to him,“ We are not engaged in these activities you are describing. All of this is a figment of your imagination.”

Then I sent to him, saying,“ There are no such things done as you say, but you imagine them out of your own heart.”

All day long you plot destruction. Your tongue cuts like a sharp razor; you’re an expert at telling lies.

As for you, you smear me with lies. As physicians, you are worthless quacks.

My accusers never found me arguing with anyone in the Temple, nor stirring up a riot in any synagogue or on the streets of the city.These men cannot prove the things they accuse me of doing.

You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.

For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Everything they say is crooked and deceitful. They refuse to act wisely or do good.

But Paul replied,“ No! This is the official Roman court, so I ought to be tried right here. You know very well I am not guilty of harming the Jews.

No one cares about being fair and honest. The people’s lawsuits are based on lies. They conceive evil deeds and then give birth to sin.
