in which was written:“ It is reported among the nations— and Geshem says it is true— that you and the Jews are plotting to revolt, and therefore you are building the wall. Moreover, according to these reports you are about to become their king

It said,“ A report is going around among the nations. Geshem says it’s true. We hear that you and the other Jews are planning to turn against the Persian rulers. And that’s why you are building the wall. It’s also reported that you are about to become their king.

In it was written,“ It is reported among the nations, and Geshem also says it, that you and the Jews intend to rebel; that is why you are building the wall. And according to these reports you wish to become their king.

and this is what it said:“ There is a rumor among the surrounding nations, and Geshem tells me it is true, that you and the Jews are planning to rebel and that is why you are building the wall. According to his reports, you plan to be their king.

In it was written: It is reported among the nations— and Geshem agrees— that you and the Jews plan to rebel. This is the reason you are building the wall. According to these reports, you are to become their king

但和伦人参巴拉和作臣仆的亚扪人多比雅，以及阿拉伯人基善听见了，就讥笑我们，藐视我们，说：“你们在干什么？你们要背叛王吗？”

奏知大王：从你那里上到我们这里来的犹大人，已经到了耶路撒冷这座叛逆和邪恶的城；他们进行建造，并且已经修好根基，开始建造城墙。

为什么不说：“我们去作恶以成善吧！”（有人毁谤我们，说我们讲过这话。）这种人被定罪是理所当然的。

参巴拉、多比雅、阿拉伯人基善和我们其余的仇敌听见我重建好了城墙，城墙再没有破口。不过那时我还没有在城门上装上门扇。参巴拉和基善就差派人来见我说：“请你来，我们在阿那平原上的一个村庄会面吧！”其实他们想要谋害我。

彼拉多听了这些话，就把耶稣带到外面，到了一个名叫“铺石地”（希伯来话叫加巴大）的地方，就在那里开庭审问。

你们在教外人中，应当品行端正，使那些人，虽然毁谤你们是作恶的，但因为看见你们的好行为，就要在鉴察的日子颂赞神。你们为主的缘故，要顺服人的一切制度，无论是至尊的君王，

我听见许多人耳语：“玛歌珥．米撒毕！告发他，我们要告发他！”我所有的知己朋友都等着看我行差踏错，他们说：“希望他会上当，我们就可以胜过他，向他报复。”

控告他说：“我们查出这个人煽惑我们的同胞，阻止纳税给凯撒，并且自称是基督，是王。”

人若因我的缘故辱骂你们，迫害你们，并且捏造各样坏话毁谤你们，你们就有福了。

请王查考先王的记录，从记录中查知这城是叛逆的城，对列王和各省都有损害，自古以来，城中常有造反的事，因此这城被拆毁。

但要用温柔敬畏的心回答。当存无愧的良心，使那些诬赖你们这在基督里有好品行的人，在毁谤你们的事上蒙羞。

藉着荣耀和羞辱、坏名声和好名誉。我们好像是骗人的，却是真诚的，

“他们弯曲舌头，像弯弓一样；在这地得势的是虚谎，不是诚实；因为他们变本加厉地作恶，连我也不认识。”这是耶和华的宣告。“你们各人要提防自己的邻舍，不要信靠兄弟；因为每一个兄弟都在欺骗人，每一个邻舍都搬弄是非。他们各人都欺骗自己的邻舍，不说诚实话。他们训练自己的舌头说谎话，竭力作孽，以致他们不能回转（按照《马索拉文本》，本句意思难确定；现参照《七十士译本》翻译）。欺凌加上欺凌，诡诈加上诡诈（按照《马索拉文本》，“欺凌加上欺凌，诡诈加上诡诈”作“你的住所在诡诈中；在诡诈里”；现参照《七十士译本》翻译），他们不肯认识我。”这是耶和华的宣告。
