并且会有许多假先知起来，迷惑许多人；

我的神，我的神，你为什么离弃我？为什么远离不救我，不听我哀哼的话语？

傲慢者为我暗设网罗和绳索，他们在路旁张开网，为我摆设陷阱。细拉我对耶和华说：“你是我的神。”耶和华啊，求你倾听我恳求的声音！主耶和华，我救恩的力量啊，在争战的日子里，你遮护了我的头！耶和华啊，求你不容恶人的愿望实现，不让他们的谋划成功，免得他们高举自己！细拉至于那些围困我的人，愿他们嘴唇的祸患遮盖自己的头；愿火炭落在他们身上，愿他们被扔进烈火中、被抛进深坑里，不能起来！愿诽谤者在地上不能坚立，愿恶事速速猎取残暴的人！

因为假基督们和假先知们会出现，行大神迹和奇事，如果有可能，甚至迷惑那些蒙拣选的人。

如果有人看见自己的弟兄在犯不至于死的罪，就应该为他祈求；这样，神将把生命赐给他，就是给那些犯不至于死的罪的人。有一种罪是至于死的；关于那种罪我不说要祈求。

但那兽被抓了；那假先知也与它一起被抓了——他在兽面前行了许多奇迹，藉此迷惑那些接受兽的印记并膜拜兽像的人。兽和那假先知两个都活生生地被丢进燃烧着硫磺的火湖里。

扬尼和扬布列怎样抵挡摩西，这些人也照样抵挡真理；他们理性败坏，在信仰上经不起考验。

所以耶和华必在一日之内，从以色列中剪除头和尾，剪除棕枝和芦苇——长老和尊贵人就是头，指教虚谎之事的先知就是尾。
