我及我子、與同宗何異、奚以我之子女、為人服役、我有數女為人所玷、欲拯無能、我之田園、為人所據。

Although we are of the same flesh and blood as our fellow Jews and though our children are as good as theirs, yet we have to subject our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but we are powerless, because our fields and our vineyards belong to others.”

We belong to the same family lines as the rest of our people. Our children are as good as theirs. But we’ve had to sell them off as slaves. Some of our daughters have already been made slaves. But we can’t do anything about it. That’s because our fields and vineyards now belong to others.”

Now our flesh is as the flesh of our brothers, our children are as their children. Yet we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but it is not in our power to help it, for other men have our fields and our vineyards.”

We belong to the same family as those who are wealthy, and our children are just like theirs. Yet we must sell our children into slavery just to get enough money to live. We have already sold some of our daughters, and we are helpless to do anything about it, for our fields and vineyards are already mortgaged to others.”

Behold, we bring our sons and our daughters into bondage to be servants, and some of our daughters have been brought into bondage. 先知眾徒中、有妻一人、求以利沙曰、我之夫子、亦爾之徒、素畏耶和華、乃爾所知、今己死矣、有貸金者至、欲取我二子、供其僕役。

如宗族貧乏、自鬻於爾、勿視若奴、當偕爾居、如傭人旅人然、供爾役事、以待禧年、屆期、彼及子女、必去爾家、仍歸其所、復得前人遺業。昔我導以色列族出埃及、為我臣僕、故不得鬻為賤役、勿治以嚴、宜畏爾之上帝。

饑者食之、貧者寓之、裸者衣之、戚屬遭難、毋掩面而不睹。

莫若鬻與以實馬利人。兄弟允之。

拉班曰、爾乃骨肉之親也、雅各偕居、至於一月。○

民所當守之法、爾宣布於民。如購希百來僕、可事主六年、七年釋之、不索其贖、若僕之來、孑然一身、其去也亦如是。若與妻偕來、亦必與妻偕去。若主給以妻、生子女、則眷聚屬主、僕孑然而去。僕愛厥主、眷戀妻子、不忍舍去、明以告主。則其主必攜之至士師、附門或門橛、以鑽貫耳、俾僕恆事其主。如人鬻女為婢、則不得釋、不與僕同。如主納之而不見悅、是欺之也、則可容其自贖、不可鬻於他族。如己為子聘、則視之如女。倘別有所娶、則待此女好合無間、衣食無減。設待之不若是、則容彼自去、毋索其贖、毋傷其財。

既無可償、主命鬻其身、與妻孥、及其所有以償、

凡我良朋聽之哉、上帝選斯世貧者、欲彼信主以為富、可嗣上帝所許愛己者之國、何以爾反辱貧者乎、富者非挾制爾、拘曳爾、以至公庭乎、
