我身如人之身、我子如人之子、今使子女為奴、我中已有數女為婢、欲免此而無力、蓋我之田畝葡萄園、為人所有、

我及我子、與同宗何異、奚以我之子女、為人服役、我有數女為人所玷、欲拯無能、我之田園、為人所據。

我身與同族之身無異、我子女與同族之子女無異、今不得已將子女鬻為奴婢、我女早有為婢者、贖之無力、蓋我田畝葡萄園、已為人所得、

Although we are of the same flesh and blood as our fellow Jews and though our children are as good as theirs, yet we have to subject our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but we are powerless, because our fields and our vineyards belong to others.”

We belong to the same family lines as the rest of our people. Our children are as good as theirs. But we’ve had to sell them off as slaves. Some of our daughters have already been made slaves. But we can’t do anything about it. That’s because our fields and vineyards now belong to others.”

Now our flesh is as the flesh of our brothers, our children are as their children. Yet we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but it is not in our power to help it, for other men have our fields and our vineyards.”

We belong to the same family as those who are wealthy, and our children are just like theirs. Yet we must sell our children into slavery just to get enough money to live. We have already sold some of our daughters, and we are helpless to do anything about it, for our fields and vineyards are already mortgaged to others.”

And now our flesh is like the flesh of our brothers, our children like their children. Yet behold, we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters are forced into bondage already, and we are helpless because our fields and vineyards belong to others.”

一位先知门徒的妻子哀求以利沙说：“你仆人我的丈夫死了，你知道你的仆人是敬畏耶和华的。现在债主来要抓我的两个孩子作他的奴仆。”

“你的兄弟在你那里若是贫穷了，卖身给你，你不可逼他作奴仆的工作。他在你那里要像雇工和寄居的一样；他要服事你直到禧年。到了禧年，他和他的儿女要离开你，归回他本家，归回自己祖宗的地业。因为他们是我的仆人，是我从埃及地领出来的，他们不可以卖作奴仆。你不可严严地辖制他，却要敬畏你的神。

不是要把你的食物分给饥饿的人，把流浪的穷困人接到你的家里，见到赤身露体的，给他衣服蔽体，不可逃避自己的骨肉而不顾恤吗？

我们不如把他卖给以实玛利人，不要下手害他，因为他是我们的兄弟，我们的骨肉。”众兄弟就听从了他。

拉班对雅各说：“你实在是我的骨肉。”雅各就与拉班同住了一个月。

“你要在众民面前订立的典章是这样的。如果你买希伯来人作奴仆，他要服事你六年；到第七年他可以自由出去，不必补偿什么。他若是单身来，就可以单身出去；他若是有妇之夫，他的妻子就可以和他同去。他的主人若是给他妻子，妻子又给他生了儿女，那么妻子和儿女都要归给主人，他自己要单独出去。如果那奴仆明明说：‘我爱我的主人和我的妻子儿女，不愿意自由出去。’他的主人就要把他带到审判官（“审判官”原文作“神”）那里，又要把他带到门前，或是门柱旁；他的主人要用锥子刺穿他的耳朵，他就要永远服事他的主人。如果有人把女儿卖作婢女，婢女不可像男仆那样出去。如果主人选定她归自己，以后又不喜欢她，就要准她赎身；主人没有权力可以把她卖给外族人，因为主人曾经欺骗了她。如果主人选定她归自己的儿子，就必须照着待女儿的规矩待她。如果他另娶一个妻子，那么，对她的饮食、衣着和性的需要，仍然不可减少。如果他不向她行这三样，她就可以自由出去，不必补偿什么。

他没有钱偿还，主人就下令叫人把他和他的妻子儿女，以及一切所有的都卖掉，用来偿还。

我亲爱的弟兄们，请听：神不是拣选了在世上被认为贫穷的人吗？这些人却在信心上富足，而且是承受神的国的人。这国是神应许赐给爱他的人的。然而你们却侮辱穷人。其实，那些欺压你们，拉你们上法庭的，不就是富足的人吗？
