因此，我親愛的弟兄們，你們要堅定，不可動搖，常常在主的工作中豐足有餘，因為你們知道，你們的勞苦在主裡不是虛空。

實際上，我沒有別的人與我同心，真正地掛慮你們的事；因為大家都尋求自己的事，不尋求耶穌基督的事。

實際上，我們從來沒有用過諂媚的話，這是你們知道的；也沒有懷著貪婪的居心，這是神可以見證的。無論向你們或向其他人，我們也都沒有尋求從人來的榮耀。

我們行美善的事不要喪膽；如果不放棄，到了所定的時候就會有收穫。

我沒有渴望過任何人的金子、銀子或衣服。你們自己也知道，我這雙手供應了我和與我在一起之人的需要。在一切事上，我都給你們做了榜樣：必須這樣地勞苦做工來扶助軟弱的人，並且要記住主耶穌自己說過的話：『施比受更加蒙福。』」

對那些恆心行善，尋求榮耀、尊貴、不朽的，就以永恆的生命回報他們；

那『好土壤』，是這樣的人：他們聽了這話語，以誠實美善的心持守它，並且在忍耐中結出果實。

不過就算如此，我也沒有成為你們的負擔——難道我是狡猾的人，用詭計牢籠了你們嗎？難道我曾經藉著派到你們那裡去的人，對不起你們嗎？我鼓勵提多去，又打發那位弟兄與他一起去。難道提多對不起你們嗎？我們行事，難道不是同一個心靈嗎？難道不是同一個步調嗎？
