因此，我亲爱的弟兄们，你们要坚定，不可动摇，常常在主的工作中丰足有余，因为你们知道，你们的劳苦在主里不是虚空。

实际上，我没有别的人与我同心，真正地挂虑你们的事；因为大家都寻求自己的事，不寻求耶稣基督的事。

实际上，我们从来没有用过谄媚的话，这是你们知道的；也没有怀着贪婪的居心，这是神可以见证的。无论向你们或向其他人，我们也都没有寻求从人来的荣耀。

我们行美善的事不要丧胆；如果不放弃，到了所定的时候就会有收获。

我没有渴望过任何人的金子、银子或衣服。你们自己也知道，我这双手供应了我和与我在一起之人的需要。在一切事上，我都给你们做了榜样：必须这样地劳苦做工来扶助软弱的人，并且要记住主耶稣自己说过的话：‘施比受更加蒙福。’”

对那些恒心行善，寻求荣耀、尊贵、不朽的，就以永恒的生命回报他们；

那‘好土壤’，是这样的人：他们听了这话语，以诚实美善的心持守它，并且在忍耐中结出果实。

不过就算如此，我也没有成为你们的负担——难道我是狡猾的人，用诡计牢笼了你们吗？难道我曾经藉着派到你们那里去的人，对不起你们吗？我鼓励提多去，又打发那位弟兄与他一起去。难道提多对不起你们吗？我们行事，难道不是同一个心灵吗？难道不是同一个步调吗？
