所以，我親愛的弟兄們，你們務要堅固，不可動搖，常常竭力多作主工，因為知道你們的勞苦，在主裡面不是徒然的。

沒有人與我同心，真正關心你們的事，因為大家只顧自己的事，而不理耶穌基督的事。

我們從來不說奉承的話，這是你們知道的，神可以作證，我們並沒有藉故起貪心，也沒有向你們或別人求取人的榮譽。我們身為基督使徒的，雖然有權利受人尊敬，但我們在你們中間卻是謙和的，就像母親乳養自己的孩子。

我們行善，不要覺得厭煩；如果不鬆懈，到了適當的時候，就有收成。

我從來沒有貪圖任何人的金銀或衣服。我這兩隻手，供應了我和同伴的需要，這是你們自己知道的。我凡事以身作則，你們必須照樣辛勞，扶助軟弱的人，並且記念主耶穌的話：‘施比受更為有福。’”

以永生報答那些耐心行善、尋求榮耀尊貴和不朽的人，

但那落在好土裡的，就是人用誠實良善的心來聽，把道持守住，忍耐著結出果實。

於是摩西大怒，對耶和華說：“求你不要悅納他們的禮物，我沒有奪過他們一頭驢，也沒有害過他們一個人。”

算了！我沒有成為你們的重擔，卻是個狡猾的人，用詭計牢籠你們。我派到你們那裡去的人，我藉著誰佔過你們的便宜？我勸提多到你們那裡去，又派了那位弟兄一同去。提多佔過你們的便宜嗎？我們行事，不是同一個心靈嗎？不是同樣的步伐嗎？
