所以，我亲爱的弟兄们，你们务要坚固，不可动摇，常常竭力多作主工，因为知道你们的劳苦，在主里面不是徒然的。

没有人与我同心，真正关心你们的事，因为大家只顾自己的事，而不理耶稣基督的事。

我们从来不说奉承的话，这是你们知道的，神可以作证，我们并没有借故起贪心，也没有向你们或别人求取人的荣誉。我们身为基督使徒的，虽然有权利受人尊敬，但我们在你们中间却是谦和的，就像母亲乳养自己的孩子。

我们行善，不要觉得厌烦；如果不松懈，到了适当的时候，就有收成。

我从来没有贪图任何人的金银或衣服。我这两只手，供应了我和同伴的需要，这是你们自己知道的。我凡事以身作则，你们必须照样辛劳，扶助软弱的人，并且记念主耶稣的话：‘施比受更为有福。’”

以永生报答那些耐心行善、寻求荣耀尊贵和不朽的人，

但那落在好土里的，就是人用诚实良善的心来听，把道持守住，忍耐着结出果实。

于是摩西大怒，对耶和华说：“求你不要悦纳他们的礼物，我没有夺过他们一头驴，也没有害过他们一个人。”

算了！我没有成为你们的重担，却是个狡猾的人，用诡计牢笼你们。我派到你们那里去的人，我藉着谁占过你们的便宜？我劝提多到你们那里去，又派了那位弟兄一同去。提多占过你们的便宜吗？我们行事，不是同一个心灵吗？不是同样的步伐吗？
