Do not cover up their guilt or blot out their sins from your sight, for they have thrown insults in the face of the builders.

Don’t hide your eyes from their guilt. Don’t forgive their sins. They have said bad things about the builders.”

願耶和華記住他祖輩的罪惡，不除去他母親的罪過。

耶和華啊，你知道他們害我的各種詭計，求你不要赦免他們的罪過，不要饒恕他們的惡行。求你使他們倒在你面前，求你在烈怒中懲罰他們。

「我，是我為自己的緣故，除去你的過犯，忘掉你的罪惡。

上帝啊，求你憐憫我，因為你的慈愛永不改變；求你除去我的過犯，因為你有無限的憐憫。

求你清算他們的種種罪行，不要讓他們有份於你的拯救之恩。願他們的名字從生命冊上被抹去，不得和義人的名字列在一起。

我除去了你的過犯和罪惡，使它們如雲霧消散。歸向我吧，因為我救贖了你。」

銅匠亞歷山大做了許多惡事害我，主必按他的所作所為報應他。

求你饒恕我的罪過，除去我一切的罪惡。

萬軍之耶和華，以色列的上帝啊，求你起來懲罰列國，不要姑息奸詐的惡人。（細拉）他們夜晚回來，嚎叫如狗，在城中遊蕩。他們出口傷人，舌如利劍，還說：「誰聽得見？」但你耶和華必嗤笑他們，嘲諷列國。上帝啊，你是我的力量，我的堡壘，我仰望你。我的上帝愛我，祂會幫助我，讓我欣然看見仇敵遭報。保護我們的主啊，求你不要殺掉他們，免得我的百姓忘記教訓。求你用你的能力驅散他們，使他們淪為卑賤。他們的嘴巴充滿罪惡，口中盡是咒詛和謊言，願他們陷在狂傲中不能自拔。求你發烈怒毀滅他們，徹底剷除他們，使普天下都知道上帝在雅各家掌權。（細拉）

以利亞敬、舍伯那和約亞對亞述的將軍說：「求你用亞蘭語跟僕人們說話，我們都聽得懂。求你不要用希伯來語跟我們說話，免得城牆上的人聽見。」亞述的將軍卻說：「難道我主派我來只對希西迦和你們說這些話嗎？不也是對城牆上的人說嗎？他們和你們一樣都要吃自己的糞，喝自己的尿。」
