或告大闢、非利士人攻枝拉、劫其穀場。大闢問耶和華曰、我可往擊非利士人否曰、可往擊非利士人、而救枝拉。大闢之從者曰、我在猶大、猶且畏懼、況至枝拉、攻非利士人軍旅乎。大闢復問耶和華。耶和華曰、汝往枝拉、我將以非利士人付於爾手。大闢偕其僕從群往枝拉、攻非利士人、大戮其眾、劫其牲畜、枝拉之民得救。初亞希米勒子亞庇亞塔、遁於枝拉、見大闢時、手攜公服。或以大闢至枝拉告掃羅。掃羅曰、斯邑設有門楗、閉不得出、今入其中、是上帝以彼付於我手。遂集軍旅、欲往枝拉、環攻大闢、暨其僕從。大闢知掃羅蓄謀害己、遂命祭司亞庇亞塔、攜公服至此、禱曰、以色列族之上帝耶和華與、僕聞掃羅欲至枝拉、職我之故、將滅斯城。我聞掃羅將至、果有此事乎、枝拉人將付我於其手乎、請指示我。耶和華曰、掃羅必至。又問、枝拉人將以我及僕從付於掃羅之手乎。曰、彼將付爾於其手。大闢與其僕從、約六百人、遂離枝拉、擇可往之地而遄征。或告掃羅、大闢已離枝拉、故止。
