Beyond him, Nehemiah son of Azbuk, ruler of a half-district of Beth Zur, made repairs up to a point opposite the tombs of David, as far as the artificial pool and the House of the Heroes.

Next to Shallun, Nehemiah made some repairs. He was the son of Azbuk. Nehemiah ruled over half of the territory where Beth Zur was located. He repaired the wall up to the part that was across from the tombs of David. He repaired it all the way to the man- made pool and the House of the Heroes.

After him Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, ruler of half the district of Beth-zur, repaired to a point opposite the tombs of David, as far as the artificial pool, and as far as the house of the mighty men.

Instead of which king Rehoboam made shields of brass, and committed[ them] to the hands of the chief of the guard, that kept the entrance of the king’s house.And when the king entered into the house of the LORD, the guard came and fetched them, and brought them again into the guard chamber.

But the dung gate repaired Malchiah the son of Rechab, the ruler of part of Bethhaccerem; he built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.

Behold his bed, which[ is] Solomon’s; threescore valiant men[ are] about it, of the valiant of Israel.

And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds[ of spices] prepared by the apothecaries’ art: and they made a very great burning for him.

And Bethzur, and Shoco, and Adullam,

And king Rehoboam made in their stead brasen shields, and committed[ them] unto the hands of the chief of the guard, which kept the door of the king’s house.And it was[ so], when the king went into the house of the LORD, that the guard bare them, and brought them back into the guard chamber.
