At that time men were appointed to be in charge of the storerooms for the contributions, firstfruits and tithes. From the fields around the towns they were to bring into the storerooms the portions required by the Law for the priests and the Levites, for Judah was pleased with the ministering priests and Levites.

They also included a tenth of everything the Law required. Crops were harvested from the fields around the towns. The people had to bring the shares of those crops that were required by the Law. They gave them to the priests and Levites. That’s because the people of Judah were pleased with the priests and Levites who were serving God.

On that day men were appointed over the storerooms, the contributions, the firstfruits, and the tithes, to gather into them the portions required by the Law for the priests and for the Levites according to the fields of the towns, for Judah rejoiced over the priests and the Levites who ministered.

並且把我們最好的麵粉和舉祭，各樣樹上的果子、新酒、新油，都帶給祭司，交到我們神殿的倉庫；又要把我們田地出產的十分之一給利未人，利未人可以在我們所有城鎮的耕地收取十分之一的出產。利未人收取十分之一出產的時候，要有一個作祭司的亞倫的子孫與他們在一起；利未人要從這十分之一中，抽取十分之一奉到我們神的殿，交到庫房的貯藏室。以色列人和利未人要把五穀、新酒、新油作舉祭，帶到貯存聖所器皿的貯藏室，就是供職的祭司、守門的和歌唱的居住的地方。我們決不會疏忽供應我們神的殿。

聽從我，天天在我門口警醒仰望，在我門框旁邊守候的人，是有福的。

革順家族拉但的子孫中作首領的，有革順家族拉但的子孫耶希伊利。耶希伊利的兒子西坦和他的兄弟約珥，掌管耶和華殿裡的庫房。至於暗蘭家族、以斯哈家族、希伯倫家族和烏薛家族，也各有職守。摩西的孫子、革順的兒子細布業作庫房的總管。細布業的兄弟是以利以謝；以利以謝的兒子是利哈比雅，利哈比雅的兒子是耶篩亞，耶篩亞的兒子是約蘭，約蘭的兒子是細基利，細基利的兒子是示羅密。這示羅密和他的兄弟掌管庫房裡的一切聖物，就是大衛王、眾家族首領、千夫長、百夫長和軍長所獻的聖物。

“關於利未人的職責是這樣：從二十五歲及以上的，要進來辦理會幕裡的事務；到了五十歲，就要停止辦理事務，不再辦事；

四個殿門的守衛長都是利未人，受託看守神的殿的房間和庫房。

眾祭司從聖所裡出來的時候（因為所有在場的祭司，不分班次地全都自潔），全體負責歌唱的利未人和亞薩、希幔、耶杜頓，以及他們的兒子和親族，都穿著細麻布的衣服，站在祭壇的東邊，敲鈸、鼓瑟、彈琴；和他們在一起的，還有一百二十個祭司吹號；

你要委派亞倫和他的兒子，使他們謹守自己祭司的職分；外人走近，必被治死。”

服事人的，就應當照著恩賜去服事；教導的，就應當照著恩賜教導；

但那些仰望耶和華的人，必重新得力；他們必像鷹一樣展翅上騰；他們奔跑，也不困倦，他們行走，也不疲乏。

他們每日早晚向耶和華獻燔祭，焚燒芬芳的香；在清潔的桌子上擺上陳設餅；每天晚上燃點金燈臺的燈盞；我們謹守耶和華我們的神的吩咐，你們卻離棄了他。“看哪，神和我們同在，率領我們；他的祭司拿著號筒向你們大聲吹響。以色列人哪，你們不可和耶和華你們列祖的神作戰，因為你們必不能得勝。”

他們的職任是協助亞倫的子孫，辦理耶和華殿的事務，管理院子、廂房和潔淨一切聖物，以及辦理神殿的事務；
