At that time men were appointed to be in charge of the storerooms for the contributions, firstfruits and tithes. From the fields around the towns they were to bring into the storerooms the portions required by the Law for the priests and the Levites, for Judah was pleased with the ministering priests and Levites.

They also included a tenth of everything the Law required. Crops were harvested from the fields around the towns. The people had to bring the shares of those crops that were required by the Law. They gave them to the priests and Levites. That’s because the people of Judah were pleased with the priests and Levites who were serving God.

On that day men were appointed over the storerooms, the contributions, the firstfruits, and the tithes, to gather into them the portions required by the Law for the priests and for the Levites according to the fields of the towns, for Judah rejoiced over the priests and the Levites who ministered.

并且把我们最好的面粉和举祭，各样树上的果子、新酒、新油，都带给祭司，交到我们神殿的仓库；又要把我们田地出产的十分之一给利未人，利未人可以在我们所有城镇的耕地收取十分之一的出产。利未人收取十分之一出产的时候，要有一个作祭司的亚伦的子孙与他们在一起；利未人要从这十分之一中，抽取十分之一奉到我们神的殿，交到库房的贮藏室。以色列人和利未人要把五谷、新酒、新油作举祭，带到贮存圣所器皿的贮藏室，就是供职的祭司、守门的和歌唱的居住的地方。我们决不会疏忽供应我们神的殿。

听从我，天天在我门口警醒仰望，在我门框旁边守候的人，是有福的。

革顺家族拉但的子孙中作首领的，有革顺家族拉但的子孙耶希伊利。耶希伊利的儿子西坦和他的兄弟约珥，掌管耶和华殿里的库房。至于暗兰家族、以斯哈家族、希伯伦家族和乌薛家族，也各有职守。摩西的孙子、革顺的儿子细布业作库房的总管。细布业的兄弟是以利以谢；以利以谢的儿子是利哈比雅，利哈比雅的儿子是耶筛亚，耶筛亚的儿子是约兰，约兰的儿子是细基利，细基利的儿子是示罗密。这示罗密和他的兄弟掌管库房里的一切圣物，就是大卫王、众家族首领、千夫长、百夫长和军长所献的圣物。

“关于利未人的职责是这样：从二十五岁及以上的，要进来办理会幕里的事务；到了五十岁，就要停止办理事务，不再办事；

四个殿门的守卫长都是利未人，受托看守神的殿的房间和库房。

众祭司从圣所里出来的时候（因为所有在场的祭司，不分班次地全都自洁），全体负责歌唱的利未人和亚萨、希幔、耶杜顿，以及他们的儿子和亲族，都穿着细麻布的衣服，站在祭坛的东边，敲钹、鼓瑟、弹琴；和他们在一起的，还有一百二十个祭司吹号；

你要委派亚伦和他的儿子，使他们谨守自己祭司的职分；外人走近，必被治死。”

服事人的，就应当照着恩赐去服事；教导的，就应当照着恩赐教导；

但那些仰望耶和华的人，必重新得力；他们必像鹰一样展翅上腾；他们奔跑，也不困倦，他们行走，也不疲乏。

他们每日早晚向耶和华献燔祭，焚烧芬芳的香；在清洁的桌子上摆上陈设饼；每天晚上燃点金灯台的灯盏；我们谨守耶和华我们的神的吩咐，你们却离弃了他。“看哪，神和我们同在，率领我们；他的祭司拿着号筒向你们大声吹响。以色列人哪，你们不可和耶和华你们列祖的神作战，因为你们必不能得胜。”

他们的职任是协助亚伦的子孙，办理耶和华殿的事务，管理院子、厢房和洁净一切圣物，以及办理神殿的事务；
