我願你的眼睜開着，你的耳傾聽着，來聽你僕人的祈禱、就是我今天、乃至於晝夜、在你面前、為你僕人、以色列人、所禱告的，又為以色列人、我們向你所犯的罪；我和我父的家所犯的罪，所向你承認的。

今僕於爾前、為爾僕以色列人、晝夜祈禱、認我以色列人所犯之罪、僕之祈禱、求爾側耳聽之、啟目顧之、我與父家、俱干罪戾、

我為爾僕、晨夕祈禱、求爾施恩於眾僕、以色列族願爾垂顧、冀爾俯聞、我與室人、及以色列族多獲罪愆、今於爾前、自言己過、

僕今為主之諸僕以色列人、晝夜所祈禱於主前、又認以色列人及我並我父家於主前所犯之罪、求主以目垂顧、側耳垂聽僕之祈禱、

let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s family, have committed against you.

Please pay careful attention to my prayer. See how your people are suffering. Please listen to me. I’m praying to you day and night. I’m praying for the people of Israel. We Israelites have committed sins against you. All of us admit it. I and my family have also sinned against you.

我繼續禱告，承認我和同胞以色列人的罪，為我上帝耶和華的聖山在祂面前祈求。

我向我的上帝耶和華禱告、認罪，說：「主啊，你是偉大而可畏的上帝，你向那些愛你、遵守你誡命的人信守你的慈愛之約。

我的上帝啊，求你睜眼看、側耳聽在這殿裡獻上的禱告。

耶和華的眼睛看顧義人，祂的耳朵垂聽他們的呼求。

難道上帝聽到祂揀選的人晝夜呼求，不替他們伸冤嗎？難道祂會一直耽延不理嗎？

我們的祖先行事不忠，做我們的上帝耶和華視為惡的事，背棄祂，轉臉背向祂的居所。

我們跟祖先一樣也犯了罪，行事邪惡。

我們的上帝啊，求你垂聽僕人的禱告祈求，為你自己的緣故，笑顏垂顧你荒涼的聖所。我的上帝啊，求你側耳垂聽，睜眼眷顧我們荒涼的土地和屬於你名下的城。我們向你祈求，並非因為我們有什麼義行，乃是因為你充滿憐憫。

那時我說：「我有禍了！我要滅亡了！因為我口出不潔之言，又住在口出不潔之言的人群中，並且親眼看見了大君王——萬軍之耶和華。」

以斯拉禱告、認罪、哭泣、俯伏在上帝的殿前時，一大群以色列人，包括男女和孩子，都聚集到他那裡，與他一起痛哭。

我們的祖先犯了罪，已經逝去，我們卻要承擔他們的罪責。

我們以前也在他們當中隨從罪惡的本性，放縱肉體和心中的私慾，與其他人一樣本是惹上帝發怒的人。

耶和華，拯救我的上帝啊，我晝夜不停地呼求你。

晚上、早晨和中午，我發出痛苦的呼求，祂必垂聽。

主啊，求你垂聽我的呼求，側耳聽我的祈求。

世人因自己的罪受罰，又何必怨天尤人呢？我們要省察自己的行為，重新歸向耶和華。讓我們舉起雙手，誠心向天上的上帝禱告說：「我們犯罪、背叛，你沒有赦免我們。

「我後悔立掃羅為王，因為他離棄了我，不遵守我的命令。」撒母耳很難過，整夜呼求耶和華。

我向你承認自己的罪，不再隱瞞自己的惡。我說：「我要向耶和華認罪。」你就赦免了我。（細拉）

我們的善行不過像骯髒的衣服，我們都像污穢的人，像漸漸枯乾的葉子，我們的罪惡像風一樣把我們吹去。無人呼求你，無人向你求助，因為你掩面不理我們，讓我們在自己的罪中滅亡。

我日夜不停地為你禱告，對我效法祖先用清潔的良心事奉的上帝充滿了感恩。

現在你們竟還想讓猶大和耶路撒冷的男女做你們的僕俾。你們豈不也得罪你們的上帝耶和華嗎？

可是，我的上帝耶和華啊，求你垂顧你僕人的禱告和祈求，垂聽你僕人今天在你面前的呼求和祈禱。願你晝夜看顧這殿——你應許立你名的地方！你僕人向著這地方禱告的時候，求你垂聽。

說：「我的上帝啊，我羞愧難當，不敢抬頭看你，因為我們的惡行滅頂，我們的罪惡滔天。從我們的祖先開始到現在，我們罪惡深重。由於我們的罪惡，我們、我們的君王和祭司都落在外邦君王的手中，被他們殺害、俘虜、搶掠和羞辱，如同今天的光景。

真正有需要、無依無靠的寡婦仰賴上帝的幫助，晝夜不住地禱告祈求。

現在，你們要向你們祖先的上帝耶和華認罪，遵行祂的旨意，與這地方的人和你們的外族妻子斷絕關係。」
