The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him,

The Lord is good. When people are in trouble, they can go to him for safety. He takes good care of those who trust in him.

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.

The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.

However God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal,“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and,“ Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and I’m known by my own;

For in the day of trouble, he will keep me secretly in his pavilion. In the secret place of his tabernacle, he will hide me. He will lift me up on a rock.

For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.

For Yahweh is good. His loving kindness endures forever, his faithfulness to all generations.

But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, why do you turn back again to the weak and miserable elemental principles, to which you desire to be in bondage all over again?

I love you, Yahweh, my strength.Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

For you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the dreaded ones is like a storm against the wall.

A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a large rock in a weary land.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of Yahweh,“ He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”

Yahweh’s name is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe.

Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.

For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.Yahweh of Armies, blessed is the man who trusts in you.

In the day of my trouble I will call on you, for you will answer me.

Then the king was exceedingly glad, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

In that day, this song will be sung in the land of Judah:“ We have a strong city. God appoints salvation for walls and bulwarks.Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter: the one which keeps faith.You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.Trust in Yahweh forever; for in Yah, Yahweh, is an everlasting Rock.

“ Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh.For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit.

Good and upright is Yahweh, therefore he will instruct sinners in the way.

He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.

Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said,“ Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel, and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

But I will sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. For you have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress.

They were helped against them, and the Hagrites were delivered into their hand, and all who were with them; for they cried to God in the battle, and he answered them, because they put their trust in him.

May Yahweh answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high,

Weren’t the Ethiopians and the Lubim a huge army, with chariots and exceedingly many horsemen? Yet, because you relied on Yahweh, he delivered them into your hand.For Yahweh’s eyes run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. You have done foolishly in this; for from now on you will have wars.”

Blessed be Yahweh, my rock, who teaches my hands to war, and my fingers to battle:my loving kindness, my fortress, my high tower, my deliverer, my shield, and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me.

Men will speak of the might of your awesome acts. I will declare your greatness.They will utter the memory of your great goodness, and will sing of your righteousness.Yahweh is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving kindness.Yahweh is good to all. His tender mercies are over all his works.All your works will give thanks to you, Yahweh. Your saints will extol you.

They said to him,“ Hezekiah says,‘ Today is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of rejection; for the children have come to the birth, and there is no strength to give birth.It may be Yahweh your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which Yahweh your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.’”

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken.My salvation and my honor is with God. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.

An arm of flesh is with him, but Yahweh our God is with us to help us and to fight our battles.” The people rested themselves on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

Yahweh sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains, in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. When he had come into the house of his god, those who came out of his own body killed him there with the sword.

He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said,‘ I am the Son of God.’”

Doesn’t Hezekiah persuade you, to give you over to die by famine and by thirst, saying,‘ Yahweh our God will deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?’

Then I will tell them,‘ I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’

See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off.
